This past sunday, I took my mom and me up to Colonial Williamsburg for Grand Illumination. We had a really great time, having lunch at Chouning's Tavern, took her on a carriage ride after we snagged some hot cider, and generally looked about at the colonial-style Christmas decorations. After dinner at Shield's, we went ahead got a good spot over by the Governor's Palace, and watched the fireworks display.
All around awesome experience, and one I would recommend to anyone looking for some holiday fun. Unfortunately, it also made me miss living there, but still, a good time to be had by all.
