Hell the world started laughing when they saw this junior senator from Chicago's name even mentioned to run for president and he didn't disappoint any of them, as I sit down to watch my favorite sitcom I imagine in other parts of the world they just tune into one of America's news channels to get all the Laughs they need.

That's not the case in Brazilian media. Rede Globo dutifully report what Barack Obama wants reported and what Raul Castro wants reported (the two topics are interchangeable).
