Off to Florida for a few days

Taking the boy who is staying at the in-laws for 3 weeks, although I'll only be there for a few days. Gonna do a little large mouth bass fishing and try to see what kind of lizards I can find. They have a lake right behind their house in their community which has a gator or 2 in it, so I might have to go and tease the bastards and see if I can get some pictures. Also going to pop off some rounds at the local gun club with my father in laws rifle and .40. Not enough time to do much more. I'm dreading the flight tomorrow, as I just can't stand waiting and being bored. Rather than deal with so many of the restrictions, I'm just going to hit the store in the airport when i get there to get a few supplies and their local Walmart.

I have so many things I want to do but so little time. Also, they live in the middle of frickin nowhere, so I think wildlife, shooting & eating is all I get to do this time around!

At airport waiting to board. Took 10 minutes to go through security as I packed appropriately and acted normally. Was a breeze!!

Only got a few pictures even remotely worth posting. The first one here is of a friend I made while down there. He seemed to take a liking to me, as when I was fishing he roamed around the lake following me, and then even came on land to hang with me for a few!

If you look closely into my eyes, you can see the absolute misery. I think it was like 175 degrees, even though the thermostat said 96. I could barely breath in the damn heat, and not a hint of wind. I couldn't stop sweating. I had a headache from the heat almost the whole time there. I went from the brutal heat, then came home and lowered the temps here in my computer room to about a chilly 40!!
