CT Muslims serve lunch in shelter while fasting

Feeding the less fortunate is difficult enough without doing it while fasting! I don't know how my wife manages cooking for Iftar every day.

Mercy Shelter Serve : Ramadan August 3rd 2013
Thank you to all our incredible volunteers who served lunch at
the Mercy shelter while fasting!
It was an incredible team - thank you for your dedication and
your compassion - this is truly what the month of Ramadan is all
about!
Please let us know if you would like to join us in the next
shelter serve which will be on September 7, 2013. A special thank you to Rebecca Minor for coordinating the program.

jafar anytime someone helps the less fortunate I applaud them :clap::clap: many scream about politics, religion or what have ya but few actually try to help

Kudos to them. I'll give just as much credit, if not more, to the homeless in NYC (and likely other areas) who are helping serve food all the time. No reason to point out one group when this type of activity happens non-stop in less fortunate areas of the US.

While I applaud the effort by those individuals(who likely are indeed sincere in the effort ) I know it's completely misguided by watching the video at the bottom of the link provided. The Rev Allen speaking hasn't a clue about Islam and its goal. This is simply putting on a new face for the world to see only exists here in the USA. NOWHERE ELSE ARE MUSLIMS DOING THIS. America's muslim population is an extremely small part of the worldwide whole of Islam. Then this very small group in CT IS A VERY SMALL PART OF THE OTHER SMALL (AMERICAN)PART. THIS IS ALMOST CERTAINLY A CAIR ENDORSED/ORDERED/ PROMOTED EVENT .. Hate to rain on your parade Jafar but this orchestrated stunt proves nothing! Has it saved even one of the over 1400 murdered victims this Ramadan that were murdered by Islamists practicing jihad? Or the over 2700 injured so far?
