View Full Version : Muslims Get Preferential Treatment
I have to admit as I read through this I was about to delete it ( I thought it was just another person bashing Muslims ) but then at the bottom there is a list of things that Muslims do get special treatment for so yes I am going to post it because if you look at what's going on all over the world and realize what is happening right here in our own back yard yes we are allowing the Muslims nation to take over slowly but surely
This is the beginning of dhimmitude. I can’t believe Shariah is quietly creeping in, and trumping the Constitution, and no one is paying attention. No one is doing anything! So I wrote a song about it and the other freedoms we are losing as tyranny in the form of “Collectivism/Communism” and “Civilization Jihad” take over.
Dhimmitude: “The Muslim system of controlling non-Muslim populations conquered through jihad (Holy War). Specifically, it is the TAXING of non-Muslims in exchange for tolerating their presence AND as a coercive means of converting conquered remnants to Islam.”

Your focus on the last bit is on the mark. This is what Jefferson so riled up, way back when:
http://memory.loc.gov/ammem/collections/jefferson_papers/mtjprece.html
...After the United States won its independence in the treaty of 1783, it had to protect its own commerce against dangers such as the Barbary pirates. As early as 1784 Congress followed the tradition of the European shipping powers and appropriated $80,000 as tribute to the Barbary states, directing its ministers in Europe, Thomas Jefferson and John Adams, to begin negotiations with them. Trouble began the next year, in July 1785, when Algerians captured two American ships and the dey of Algiers held their crews of twenty-one people for a ransom of nearly $60,000.
Thomas Jefferson, United States minister to France, opposed the payment of tribute, as he later testified in words that have a particular resonance today. In his autobiography Jefferson wrote that in 1785 and 1786 he unsuccessfully "endeavored to form an association of the powers subject to habitual depredation from them. I accordingly prepared, and proposed to their ministers at Paris, for consultation with their governments, articles of a special confederation." Jefferson argued that "The object of the convention shall be to compel the piratical States to perpetual peace." Jefferson prepared a detailed plan for the interested states. "Portugal, Naples, the two Sicilies, Venice, Malta, Denmark and Sweden were favorably disposed to such an association," Jefferson remembered, but there were "apprehensions" that England and France would follow their own paths, "and so it fell through."
Paying the ransom would only lead to further demands, Jefferson argued in letters to future presidents John Adams, then America's minister to Great Britain, and James Monroe, then a member of Congress. As Jefferson wrote to Adams in a July 11, 1786, letter, "I acknolege [sic] I very early thought it would be best to effect a peace thro' the medium of war." Paying tribute will merely invite more demands, and even if a coalition proves workable, the only solution is a strong navy that can reach the pirates, Jefferson argued in an August 18, 1786, letter to James Monroe: "The states must see the rod; perhaps it must be felt by some one of them. . . . Every national citizen must wish to see an effective instrument of coercion, and should fear to see it on any other element than the water. A naval force can never endanger our liberties, nor occasion bloodshed; a land force would do both." "From what I learn from the temper of my countrymen and their tenaciousness of their money," Jefferson added in a December 26, 1786, letter to the president of Yale College, Ezra Stiles, "it will be more easy to raise ships and men to fight these pirates into reason, than money to bribe them."
Jefferson's plan for an international coalition foundered on the shoals of indifference and a belief that it was cheaper to pay the tribute than fight a war. The United States's relations with the Barbary states continued to revolve around negotiations for ransom of American ships and sailors and the payment of annual tributes or gifts. Even though Secretary of State Jefferson declared to Thomas Barclay, American consul to Morocco, in a May 13, 1791, letter of instructions for a new treaty with Morocco that it is "lastly our determination to prefer war in all cases to tribute under any form, and to any people whatever," the United States continued to negotiate for cash settlements. In 1795 alone the United States was forced to pay nearly a million dollars in cash, naval stores, and a frigate to ransom 115 sailors from the dey of Algiers. Annual gifts were settled by treaty on Algiers, Morocco, Tunis, and Tripoli.
When Jefferson became president in 1801 he refused to accede to Tripoli's demands for an immediate payment of $225,000 and an annual payment of $25,000. The pasha of Tripoli then declared war on the United States. Although as secretary of state and vice president he had opposed developing an American navy capable of anything more than coastal defense, President Jefferson dispatched a squadron of naval vessels to the Mediterranean. As he declared in his first annual message to Congress: "To this state of general peace with which we have been blessed, one only exception exists. Tripoli, the least considerable of the Barbary States, had come forward with demands unfounded either in right or in compact, and had permitted itself to denounce war, on our failure to comply before a given day. The style of the demand admitted but one answer. I sent a small squadron of frigates into the Mediterranean. . . ."
The American show of force quickly awed Tunis and Algiers into breaking their alliance with Tripoli. The humiliating loss of the frigate Philadelphia and the capture of her captain and crew in Tripoli in 1803, criticism from his political opponents, and even opposition within his own cabinet did not deter Jefferson from his chosen course during four years of war. The aggressive action of Commodore Edward Preble (1803-4) forced Morocco out of the fight and his five bombardments of Tripoli restored some order to the Mediterranean. However, it was not until 1805, when an American fleet under Commodore John Rogers and a land force raised by an American naval agent to the Barbary powers, Captain William Eaton, threatened to capture Tripoli and install the brother of Tripoli's pasha on the throne, that a treaty brought an end to the hostilities. Negotiated by Tobias Lear, former secretary to President Washington and now consul general in Algiers, the treaty of 1805 still required the United States to pay a ransom of $60,000 for each of the sailors held by the dey of Algiers, and so it went without Senatorial consent until April 1806. Nevertheless, Jefferson was able to report in his sixth annual message to Congress in December 1806 that in addition to the successful completion of the Lewis and Clark expedition, "The states on the coast of Barbary seem generally disposed at present to respect our peace and friendship."
In fact, it was not until the second war with Algiers, in 1815, that naval victories by Commodores William Bainbridge and Stephen Decatur led to treaties ending all tribute payments by the United States. European nations continued annual payments until the 1830s. However, international piracy in Atlantic and Mediterranean waters declined during this time under pressure from the Euro-American nations, who no longer viewed pirate states as mere annoyances during peacetime and potential allies during war.

The "tax" you are talking about is Jizya. It used to be paid by non Muslims in Islamic countries. In return for payment, they had the right to worship as they please, practice the customs of their community, exemption from military service and the full protection of the state should they be invaded.
How is that fundamentally different to the income tax you pay now?
Anyway, not a single country in the world today charges Jizya anyway so what's the problem? More to the point, what countries have Dhimmis these days?

Christian minorities in Islamic countries pay through their houses of worship, which still doesn't provide safety of worship, nor safety of the building. Egypt being one example regarding Coptic Christians.

You must be joking ?
So, following your example through, a Muslim, because s/he IS a Muslim, pays something extra to a Christian State in order to qualify for any appreciable protection ? I've never heard of such a thing. Why would non-Muslims EVER be discriminated against in Islamic countries in such a fashion ??
... sorry. I'm in the mood for thoroughly stupid questions today ...

There is no special tax on Christians in Egypt. Everyone, Christian or Muslim pays the same in tax.

Nature hates a vacuum. If it weren't radical Muslims wanting to take over, it would be Communists, Secularists or any sort of totalitarianism. When our nation's institutions are torn down, it loses its "immunity" from "infections". Fixating on which infection is looking at the symptom and not the disease. One of those institutions is children raised in a traditional two parent home. Our society has been bastardized.

OK lets say you are correct for the sake of the argument if you had read my original post you would of seen what made me post this wasn't just one preferential treatment there was a list of things we cave in on for the Muslims and that shouldn't be if you wish to live here you need to understand the laws and live by them period

1) The DMV gives Muslims preferential treatment.
In what way? She didn't elaborate.
2) The TSA gives Muslim women special treatment at the airport. In February, 2010, the Figh Council of North America, a group of Islamic scholars, issued a fatwa, or religious ruling, that full-body scanners violate Islamic law. Story here (http://www.theblaze.com/stories/2010/11/12/cair-tsa-can-only-pat-down-muslim-women%E2%80%99s-head-neck/).
Well ok, but our religion has strict laws regarding appearing naked in public. However, isn't it a fact that ANYONE may opt for a pat down if they object to the scanners?
3) The Internet and Facebook treat Muslims differently. I was banned by FB for posting a Steven Crowder Jesus vs. Mohammed video. I just attended a Manchester, TN meeting where State Attorney Bill Killian warned 1,000 attendees that criticism of Islam, i.e. on the Internet, could lead to federal prosecution! No more Freedom of Speech?! Story here (http://victoriajackson.com/9030/tea-party-crashes-government-sponsored-muslims-are-nice-propaganda-conference).
Good. No hate speech nor incitement against a particular race or religion should be tolerated in a civilised society.
4) School textbooks have a Muslim bias now! Why?! Story here (http://victoriajackson.com/9463/vetting-textbooks).
Not so. The blogger's objection stems from the schools not teaching lies about Islam to children.
5) Courts are shifting toward Sharia. A New Jersey Judge Ruled that a Muslim Man’s Right to Rape is Religious Freedom. Story here (http://joshuapundit.blogspot.com/2010/10/new-jersey-judge-rules-muslim-mans.html).
The court didn't use Sharia. The judge made a bad judgement. A women does indeed have the right to refuse relations with her husband and the husband should follow the Prophet's example in dealing with his wives with love, and respect. Refusal for BOTH men and women is actively discouraged though as it can lead to one of them committing the sin of Zina, or sex out of wedlock.
In this case, the husband should have been chastised for being an ass.
And of His Signs is that He has created mates for you from your own kind that you may find peace in them and He has set between you love and mercy. Surely there are Signs in this for those who reflect. (30:21)
What should have happened next would be marriage counselling to find out what the underlying problem is with the marriage and to try and rectify it.
6) Taxes and Health Care favor Muslims. “ObamaCare allows the establishment of Dhimmitude and Sharia Muslim diktat in the United States. Muslims are specifically exempted from the government mandate to purchase insurance, and also from the penalty tax for being uninsured. Islam considers insurance to be ‘gambling,’ ‘risk-taking,’ and ‘usury’ and is thus banned. Muslims are specifically granted exemption based on this.”
BS. Insurance is not banned in Islam. I paid for health insurance when I lived in Egypt and Malaysia. The objection may come from using an insurance company that invests in interest bearing investments. In that case, it is incumbent on a Muslim who wants insurance, to use a company that invests responsibly.
7) And then, you’ve got Huma Weiner with her Muslim Brotherhood connections in the White House. Story here (http://victoriajackson.com/9471/more-about-huma).
How does that support OP's statement that Muslims get preferential treatment? Huma Abedin is not exactly the picture of extremism. If she is guilty of extremism it is the other way. Discarding Hijab and marrying a non Muslim husband for example.
8) Need I mention Obama’s “57 states” comment or his “the most beautiful sound is the Muslim call to prayer,” or his Muslim background in Indonesia?
Again, not relevant to her blog title.
The call to prayer is indeed beautiful!

jafar. Once again. You found a reason to present another excuse to defend, what you insist, needs no defense. As in Muslims.
If there is nothing to dispute. What causes you to defend such things if it doesn't exist????

Mark Steyn in his book "America Alone" warned Americans what was happening. Let's see, he published a decade ago. Maybe some will wake up. (note, I do plan to verify the publishing date) My copy is around somewhere.
Seems like a decade but here it is.
America Alone: The End of the World as We Know It (ISBN 0-89526-078-6 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:BookSources/0895260786)) is a New York Times (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_York_Times) bestselling nonfiction book by Mark Steyn (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mark_Steyn), published in 2006. It was recommended byGeorge W. Bush (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/George_W._Bush) to his staff.[1] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/America_Alone#cite_note-1)

Would you think it fair if a non-Muslim country demanded a payment in order for Muslims to worship? What a load of crap. If the USA tried such a stunt they would be shredded worldwide. Even today, try living an open and happy life as a Christian in most Islamic countries, and likely you will be abused and/or ignored should you seek redress through the government. See Egypt and how the people AND government treats the Christians there, and it's very similar in quite a few, if not most, Islamic countries.

Muslims in the US pay income tax no? Some of them also serve in the Army despite their being no compulsory service requirement. I would see your point if Jizya was an extra tax but it never was. Back in the days when Jizya was levied on non Muslim populations, Muslims were required to pay Zakat, non Muslims paid Jizya instead.
As for Egypt, the reality on the ground, and the alternative presented by blog media is often very different.

Yes, they do, but not in order to worship or any of the other bullshit. Even a homeless person not forking over a single penny should be able to worship in and out of their place of worship.
As for Egypt, I know people who lived there, and also groups like the Red Cross and such that spend a considerable amount of time there. If you're a woman, you're more likely than not to get beat. If you're a Catholic, you are more likely than not to be ignored by the government/police when in need. Claim all you like, I know the truth.

Shariah is absolutely creeping in, and the American people are complacent enough without Obama and others, even on here, continually reassuring and explaining away all the raised concerns, this country is made up of immigrants, who all are expected to abide by the same set of rules, but Muslims fully expect exceptions to be made for them, this bothers me and should bother all Americans,
