According to this article one third of Florida's fatal stand your ground cases have been brought by blacks. They are successful 55% of the time. HIGHER THAN FOR WHITES WHO USE THAT DEFENSE.

Unfortunately but true the reason for this is they are much more prone to violence , just look at the ratio of black to white inmates in the jails , when you are around guns and drugs and illegal goings on a good percentage of the time there will without a doubt be more gun play and that will in turn mean more self defense
