Proof That CompUSA Sucks

Man buys camera at CompUSA. Man opens camera box to find it empty. Man goes to CompUSA, who apologized for the incident, replaced his camera, and gave him a small gift certificate for his trouble. Wait, no. This is CompUSA, so they called him a dumass for buying an empty camera box. No refund.

Update: To salvage what little dignity they had left, and realizing that the story had gone public (very public, thanks to fark.com), CompUSA has sent the man a $300 gift certificate, approximately the price of the camera plus tax.

Does seem a bit fishy doesn't it. Unless the box is sealed the very least I'd do is check for all the pieces an stuff inside.

Confusing a personal incompetence with a corporate dishonesty is dishonest on it's premise.

Forget that. COMPUSA is no better than the Chickenshit-In-Chief. I'll remember that on my next purchase.
