According to this article, Can he find his motivation? (http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2007/06/04/AR2007060401379.html?hpid=opinionsbox1)Thompson is pretty much a big nothing. He has no ideas, no motivation, no values, no standards.
No wonder conservatives like him.
He's one of them.
He's the ultimate conservative.

Yes, you are so right, Nancy Pelosi and her band of enlightened fools are definitely the way to go. And what do the Democrats have to offer?
More big government, they've been doing that since 1932, when FDR expanded the role of government enormously.
More taxation, again a New Deal idea, since 1932.
More regulation over the economy, another New Deal idea since 1932.
Disdain for the military... that's a more recent idea, circa 1965
A "war on poverty" that has lasted over 40 years, cost 5 trillion dollars and has not delivered on its promise.
Am I seeing a pattern here, or have the Democrats not had a new ideas since 1965 (that's 42 years)??
Actually, I'm giving them more credit than they deserve. Most of them are using the ideas advocated in The Communist Manifesto (first published in 1848). When Marx published that work, Zachary Taylor was elected President of the United States, America had 30 states, slavery had not been abolished, Pluto had not yet been discovered, Pasteur had not yet discovered that germs caused disease, the phone, the automobile, the airplane, the light bulb, radio and indoor plumbing had not been invented, Queen Victoria was the reigning monarch of England and the British Empire.
Yes, you're right, the Democrats are definitely the ones full of ideas.

Nah ... he just speaks above your comprehension level. He gives straight answers to questions without an accompanying song and dance routine or deflection.
And not ONCE did he threaten "white riots" if he doesn't get his way.

And not ONCE did he threaten "white riots" if he doesn't get his way.
I remember that John Edwards' wife warned of riots if Kerry wasn't elected back in 2004.
Ségolène Royal (the Socialist candidate in France's recent elections) also warned of riots if the Socialists didn't win (unlike the Americans, the French actually did riot).
I think the idea of using violent means to get their way is a hallmark of Socialist political practice.

Americans LOVE Big Government; the bigger the better. Everytime the American People see a problem, we demand a government solution and FDR delivered. He gave us the Big Government solutions which saved us from fascism and gave the best years of American life. That's why he is unquesionably, beyond all shadow of a doubt and for all time the greatest of American presidents.

No need for new ideas when the old ones are so good. They work so why change.

I'm not sure if we're having a serious discussion. Perhaps we ought to talk about something more on your level... how's your comic book collection?

Given your performance in these pages, it's pretty clear your not very sure about anything which isn't wrong.
Actually, comic books are big business. Some collectors do quite well trading them. Had you been a serious student of Free Markets, you would have known that. Of course, you're not. You're just another poser. You can talk about the way the world ought to be but you don't really know what makes it work.
Stick around. You might learn something.

Here we see a person completely out of touch with reality.
1. Most Americans hate big government. In fact the distrutt of government is a hallmark of our Founders.
2. The FDR "solutions" created more problems than they resolved. His alphabet soup programs turned a short term stock market collapse into a decades long depression. Social Security has deprived millions of Americans of a market return on their retirement funds.
If he runs he got my vote just because he said he would pardon Scooter Libby straight away if elected.

Really?
After reading the manure you posted, I have to ask how you would know. You seem totally oblivious to over two hundred years of American history. Either that or you think I am.
Since the very first Congress, the U. S. government has been getting bigger and bigger and bigger. Has anyone ever lost an election because he delivered the services his constituents wanted? Maybe a few but it hasn't served as a deterrent to those who haven't. They keep getting reelected for a very good reason, Americans LOVE Big Government.
We want the government to buy millions of acres of land and then give them away. We want the government to subsidize a railroad so we can get to it and then a canal so sailing around it won't take so long.
We want highways, clean water, safe food and secure retirements.
We want healthcare for seniors and children and we don't want anyone to starve so we tell our government to give away food.
All that takes Big Government and most of us don't give it a second thought. We're too busy concentrating on our daily activites without having to worry about safe food, safe water and desperate retirements. As for the few who "hate big governent, they're like kooks on street corners carrying signs about the imminent end of the world or like crazy uncles we all smile at. We just shrug and be thankful we're not like them.

Maybe in the Village where you live, but do a poll of conservatives in this thread and you'll quickly learn that the opposite is true. You need to move out of the blue county region for a while and see how the other half sees it.
Oh yeah, I forgot, you wouldn't do that because you're never wrong. :pee:

And he didn't himhaw around about it either.
"would you pardon Scooter Libby?"
"Yes"
Can't wait for him to get into the actual debates. Libs are going to hate him.
