I don't know if I feel bad for the guy or not, but it's hilarious nonetheless! It makes me feel not so bad about the $100 t-shirt I bought, or the time I played the game where you toss the darts at balloons, and after about $40 or so dollars I walked away with something you would get out of a .25 cent gumball machine! But I figure someone ought to know when enough is enough. Just like the damn basketball hoops, which most people know are not circular, and you can be there for days before you hit a foul shot. In fact, I'd say the majority of carnival games are in their favor. But man, $26 big ones before you realize that? LOL

That's why I play the water races, where you shoot a water gun. A winner every game!

:laugh2:

Just remembered, one afternoon I got hooked on a game called "Fascination", where you roll a rubbber ball and try to get it into certain holes in a wooden table. I still have some sand sculptures on my desk from that occasion, lol.

We go to Playland yearly. The water pistol is a minimum of 3 people. I just wait for the right time and me, the woman and the boy play, so we are guaranteed a prize. Sometimes I play just so that I can shoot my wife too, with water of course, but it's still satisfying to see the look of shock on her face. $2 to nail her in the face with a pressure powered water gun? Good deal!! LOL

But the ones that get me the worst are the claw games. I'm pretty good at them though and can figure out pretty fast which machines you can win with and which are set to never pick a damn thing up.

:facepalm99:

A New Hampshire man who thought he had a decent ball toss says he lost his life savings—or about $2,600—playing a carnival game he claims was rigged.

“For once in my life I happened to become that sucker,” Gribbohm said.

I'm guessing he doesn't make too many great life decisions.
