This Government site is valuable should a person want to know facts about energy in the USA, state by state.
For instance, until I saw this and used it on CA, I figured we had zero coal fired electric plants.
Wrong. We have several of them. I compared the electric output of solar, wind and hydro to nuclear and was blown away at how much nuclear contributes. I checked oil production per state and found that North Dakota shot up to number 2, behind texas. CA produces more oil than Oklahoma, news to me. Anyway, you might bookmark it if you think you can used it over time.
