In the midwest (Colorado etc.) April is like the second-snowiest month. Been true since about 1800.

It was comical a few weeks ago, listening to national broadcasters talking about the "incredible" storm that hit from Denver to Minneapolis. In fact it wasn't that big a deal, those folks are used to it at this time of year. Funny to hear the newsreaders trying to make a mountain out of a mole hill. You had to wonder if any of them even knew what they were talking about.

I'm not so familiar with the east coast. Is an April storm that unusual there?
