And the SMELL OF SULFUR goes down the drain with him. Now, maybe...the people of Venezuela can get their lives back.

... indeed. And another Socialist despot, and hater of America and the Capitalist West, bites the dust.

GOOD RIDDANCE.

Yesterday the Venezuela media was giving out dire accounts of his "new respiratory infection" so I figured they thought the end was near.

He was quite young --- middle '50s.

Socialists rarely let the truth get in the way of face-saving, power-consolidating propaganda. Besides, Chavez, along with other despotic rulers, did all he could to build up 'cult fervour' as the basis for his power.

As the likes of Chavez prove ... they have to actually be dead to stop the power mania.

Jostlings for power might prove interesting, as other Leftie wannabes try to use the existing political infrastructure for their own ends (... sorry, 'for the People' ...).

KarlMarx. KEEP AN EYE on Obama.

Bet he sends Venezuela a message telling them HOW SORRY HE IS....FOR HIS FRIEND'S DEATH.

Then, to make a good photo op. He (Obama) will probably announce an OFFERING of American Dollars to offset

the Funeral expenses, and the American made coffin for Hugo.....(shown here) 4641.

I heard Obama is so heartbroken over the news of Hugo Chavez' death that he's golfing only 6 days this week.

Who is Obama gonna buy all the oil from now? He wanted to be Hugo's best customer.

Reminds me of the 'dodgy deal' our London mayor, Ken Livingstone, once did. He wanted London's buses to run as cheaply as possible (after all, keeping public transport costs down is a votewinner) .. so he approached Chavez personally to get some cheap Venezuelan oil and gas (or 'petrol' as we say over here).

Chavez obliged him. Those two, both hardline Lefties, became good friends.

See this ...

http://edition.cnn.com/2013/03/06/world/europe/hugo-chavez-livingstone/

Former London mayor Ken Livingstone paid tribute to his "friend and comrade" (https://twitter.com/ken4london/status/309065499541655552) Hugo Chavez, calling him the first Venezuelan president to "put his people before the interests of American oil companies."

Chavez, who died Tuesday, used some of Venezuela's vast oil wealth to bankroll huge social programs for the poor during his 14-year presidency. Critics, on the other hand, say much of the country's oil riches were squandered by a corrupt administration more focused on consolidating political power than lifting people out of poverty.

Livingstone, nicknamed "Red Ken" for his socialist leanings, struck a controversial deal (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/london/6377867.stm) in 2007 with Chavez to fuel London's buses with discounted Venezuelan fuel, in exchange for advice on how to develop Venezuela's urban infrastructure.

While Livingstone used the £14 million ($21m) fuel discount to subsidize buses for the poor in London, his critics say the deal exploited and further impoverished the poor people of Venezuela (http://edition.cnn.com/2013/03/06/world/europe/hugo-chavez-livingstone/www.cnn.com/2013/03/05/opinion/venezuela-chavez-hooper/index.html). His successor, Boris Johnson, promptly cancelled the deal upon taking office in 2008.
