It it any wonder this old coot did not win a single primary or caucus in the last election cycle?

Former Rep. Ron Paul apparently isn't quite ready to leave the spotlight. Today on his Twitter feed, the failed presidential candidate decided to opine on the recent murder of Navy SEAL Chris Kyle, who was helping a fellow soldier recover from PTSD at the time he was killed.

Kyle was a hero and a family man who dedicated his post-military life to helping soldiers recovering from war. (http://www.foxnews.com/us/2013/02/04/ex-navy-seal-was-reportedly-helping-alleged-murderer-work-through-ptsd/?test=latestnews) I spoke to him on the phone a year ago when his best selling book "American Sniper" came out and he was nothing but a gentleman.

Anyone still want to step forward and assert this kook was fit to be president?

"Yeah, man! Of course he woulda been a good president. He wanted to legalize marijuana!"

Fortunately, there aren't enough single issue voters to sway national elections.

Unfortunately, there are just enough of them to totally jack up GOP primaries.

When a politician gets in trouble for dancing on the grave of a military hero (http://twitchy.com/2013/02/04/disgusting-ron-paul-attacks-murder-victim-war-hero-chris-kyle/), one generally expects furious backpedaling to mitigate the damage. However, it appears that former Rep. Ron Paul is feeling liberated from such concerns now that he is out of Congress. The new and improved Paul is more callous than ever, with an extra helping of sanctimony and a healthy dollop of anti-military sentiment. Not content to merely blame the victim for his own murder, Paul responded to the uproar he caused by adding fuel to the fire. In a posting on Facebook which he personally signed, Paul blamed “unconstitutional and unnecessary wars” for Kyle’s murder and even went so far as to associate his political policies with Jesus Christ.

A good example of why I have never given him support.
I think its time that he get in his car, drive until it runs out of gas . Then get out and walk until he finds somebody that doesn't think he is as dumb as a brick for making that statement!

For him to speak about such a good man like that he should get knocked the hell out despite his advanced age IMHO.. -Tyr

This is not the first time on Paul stuck his foot in his mouth and blamed the victim

How could anyone forget when he blamed America for the 9/11 attacks?

Regardless of his own feelings or beliefs, he shouldn't have made a comment so quickly after the tragic death. Sometimes RP is embarrassing.

I wonder why Rev has not jumped in and tried to spin Paul's comments. Perhaps he is as angry and pissed off as the rest of us are

You could really use an ounce of that 90,000 tons of diplomacy. You have no class what so ever.

And Neville Chamberlain tried your version of diplomacy and it allowed WWII to take place and caused the deaths of 50 million people.

As far as your classless comment - everyday you are reminding me of a former liberal poster that claimed to be a retired Naval Commander.

Then you don't even have enough to continue the court case, the judge has dismissed the case and jailed you in contempt.

Even those whole-heartedly devoted to the manic headlong pursuit of legalized marijuana know that sometimes you just gotta let somethings lay and hope time erases them.

and the silence is very telling. Just like the silence from the left on Obama's drones
