Got home from work last night and headed straight for the medicine cabinet. I had left side back pain and still had a few vicodin from my carpal tunnel surgery. I popped 2 and waited. Understand it was snowing and icy out and after 9 PM. Fifty minutes later = no relief. I am thinking kidney stone. (Have had a couple in the past). V4R finally convinced me the ER was where I belonged. Four hours and a a CT scan later, no visible stone but maybe an explanation. Might have been a stone already passed, might be mild pancreatitis (slight inflammatory change seen on CT). Pain is gone and I am happy for that. Now I have to see my internist next week and figure out if I want to pursue an investigation into the findings. Have to say the ER was very efficient though for all that it was quite busy.
