New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie slammed Washington once again Wednesday for its slow response in getting aid to Hurricane Sandy victims.
“We’ve waited here now seven times longer than the victims of (Hurricane) Katrina to get help from the federal government,” he said, adding that some people were still waiting.
Seven times longer? I wonder if all the people who demonized Bush after Katrina will now do the same to Obama? Somehow, I doubt it.

It was congress, not the president, moron. Why do you think he's been taking so much flack from the GOP?

The buck didn't stop with Bush after Katrina. He was on vacation. The buck was passed to state governments.
Obama has always been in favored of Sandy aid. Congress has held it up. The states can't distribute fund they don't have.

Wrong. Bush took all the hits with Katrina and you know that.
Obama? He and his executive departments have F up'd time and again. Still not catching crap from media. But it never was about the victims, just the politicians.

Bush took all the hits from Katrina because FEMA totally screwed up the entire situation.
Obama learned from Bush's mistake and was proactive, immediately reaching out to state and local governments.
Where are the proposed aid packages currently stalled? In Congress.
It's all about public perception. Bush reacted indifferently. Obama did not.

Exactly, Obama had good intentions and showed empathy, Bush did not. The money and rebuilding don't matter so much compared to know they are cared for.
