Just an observation

I am sitting here vegging on my sofa and just realized something utterly sad! Of the two or three stations I have been watching today, at least 75% of the ads are for incontinence products, plastic surgery or viagra clones. Somewhere some station nerd has decided that people who watch the stations I happen to like are old, incontinent, saggy and impotent. Makes me want to hit someone with my cane dagnabbit!!

In fact. One lasting effect of my treatments was the insertion of a Stint in my upper arm that contains ESTROGEN. Something every female is familiar with. SO...there AIN'T NO MANLY stuff happening anymore in our house.

Those commercials are no good for me. But I do make jokes about the effects of the Estrogen....like PLAYBOY BUNNIES, FULLY NUDE could walk past me...and it would be like watching WATER BOIL.

My favorite is "A Young girl accused me of raping her. But the judge threw the case out...CAUSE THE EVIDENCE wouldn't STAND UP IN COURT".

How's that for an OBSERVATION Wiccan?????

To you, and Abbey. Thanks so much. But. If we stop laughing. Everything becomes more of a burden. I have also been blessed with a great, wonderful Lifetime Partner, and Best friend in my wife. She has been strong for me, and our sons for as long as I have known her. Then...the smiles. The smiles of our grand children who...only four years ago. Could have been without their POP...me, after having the cancer, then the heart attacks....all piled on top of everything else.

SO I SMILE, and make fun of everything. Some people hate that kind of stuff. But that's their problem...and not gonna be mine.

I enjoy being here to talk with all of you...even those who think I'm a pain in the ass, or dumber than a box of hammers. But..that's the fun I have learned to enjoy all the more...WAKING UP for another day.
I've been through 2 wars, been declared dead twice, nearly drowned while in the navy, fell from a roof at a fire in a nightclub, and then the BIG C. That was the worst of all. Not something anybody wants to laugh at...until you know it's GONE.

I am 74. Never had cancer. Have no problem and don't need Viagara.

But I tell you. I want to be 100. Better than the other option.

I know this man I wish I could get to show up to post. He is in his 90s. And I believe when he was in his 80s, he did not need Viagara. But I don't ask him things like that. And his wife probably still is active. She is about his age.

The Internet is, and can be a dangerous place for most of us. Which is why I do not use my real name.
Look at the examples we are seeing in New York, and the damage being done to Law abiding citizens...when a RAG newspaper decided to post the names, and addresses of gun owners.

That is why I prefer to remain anonymous. But...because I do so. Does not mean I have to come here to lie, or fabricate stories to entertain, or make new friends.

I dearly miss all those ladies in bikinis shots back when they were used so often to advertise suntan lotion.
They weren't porn but were just enough to wake up the engine a bit. Always better when just a little is not seen and left to the man's imagination. The human capacity for imagination is an amazing blessing . It also allows people to imagine themselves to be that which they may someday become! When that is positively applied the world benefits.
A woman's body is a blessing that man needs both for physical and for inspirational health. To live happily with a woman he has to learn her personality and intelligence rates even higher. Some men never figure that out. Still even after figuring that out inspirational bikini shots are a plus and always welcomed!--:beer:--Tyr

Perhaps if more women went back to being more female and more geared towards making those needy men feel secure in having normal and healthy sexual relations with the opposite sex less ads like those would be the norm. I don't like taking pills. I tried to recall if I told my doctor about any ad for pills. I think I mentioned one pill he had me on that I wanted to know if I should quit and go to something else. I believe I did so he changed the prescription.

Those ads must help them sell drugs. Otherwise they probably would quit the ads.

Gabby. You make that kind of a statement here. While, on another thread. You accused Conservatives of being against the Free Enterprise System? And that is exactly what you are showing us with that BAN ON ADVERTISING for drugs.

Advertising is the backbone of competition....for the FREE ENTERPRISE SYSTEM.
