I feel if I tell you too much about this video, it might spoil your experience.
I really liked this video of a jumbo jet coming to SF airport. I am a pilot. This is one of the few airports in the Bay Area I have not landed in flying my own plane. I wish you could see all the airports we do have.
This video will put you in the cockpit for part of the flight.
Oh notice the confusion over which runway to land at.
To the non pilots, runways are numbered according to the compass. They use runway 28, left and right when the wind is coming from the Pacific ocean. 27 is due west per the compass. Actual west is different since the compass reading is based on magnetic north and not true north.
28 is a different direction in the east vs the west all due to magnetic north being where it is.
28 with two runways means you have both 28 R and 28 L. R and L mean right and left. The Bay area is so pretty. It is better flying in my small rental airplane than what you see here.
