For those who have never heard of Celtic Woman.

You may have heard this, and now you know who they are....

That was beautiful! Reminded me of daughter's Christmas choral programs in college.

DH and I had their version of Jesu Joy of Man's Desiring as our processional for our wedding.

Their voices are perfect for the acoustics in my shop, which actually used to be a funeral home from before 1900 to about mid-late 60's. The building was built in 1887. The architecture from the 1932 renovation is still here. 99% of the interior is plaster. This includes the crown mouldings and the medallions on the wall and barrel-fault ceiling.

When I play any of their music on our main surround sound system, which is also HDMI... It feels like you're in a massive cathedral. Yet we are about 1700 sq ft total.

Whenever I play anything orchestral or choir-music it really fills this place with that heavenly sound that comforted the survivors of the deceased that passed through these walls.

Is Maeda back? Or is this a compilation of concerts from past years?

I don't know. Jim posted one song, he'd never heard of them, neither have I, though that's not surprising. Then AT chimed in, he knew the group and approved. Here's from the youtube site:

Celtic Woman: A Christmas Celebration is the second album from the singing group Celtic Woman. This album broke a long-standing record when it surpassed the 68 week run of the original Celtic Woman album. The album's main vocalists are the same five women who were first featured on the PBS music special of the same name: Méav Ní Mhaolchatha, Órla Fallon, Lisa Kelly, Chloë Agnew and Máiréad Nesbitt. The album was certified Gold by the RIAA in December 2009, for sales of 500,000, and certified Platinum in November 2011 for sales of 1,000,000.

While the bulk of A Christmas Celebration ruminates upon the usual fare that is found on many holiday-oriented outings, one track (Christmas Pipes) — with its superb vocals and the addition of uilleann pipes, low whistles, and bodhran — seems to rise above the rest. Nevertheless, the endeavor is so uniquely and endearingly delivered by Celtic Woman that A Christmas Celebration undoubtedly would make a fresh and welcome addition to anyone's holiday collection. It's perfect as background music during a festive gathering, and it's suitable for anyone who enjoys carefully listening to quality Christmas music that features an excellent vocal performance. For something a little different this holiday season, perhaps a bit of the Emerald Isle is just the thing.

When angels sing!

They are my favorites. I am not a music fan (for the most part) but I could listen to them for hours.

Well that explains it. We haven't had cable for about 4 years and can't help but watch PBS more often.

We watch very little TV here. Our news, and entertainment, like Celtic Woman are all on YOUTUBE.

It's a treasure trove of your imagination. So there's really no need for TV.

Just type the name of your favorite song, singer, or old tv show and YOUTUBE has it!

Whatever you can think of, or remember IS, and CAN BE FOUND on YOUTUBE.

Try it. It's a whole new world of endless learning, and entertainment. Click past the commercials and your good to go.

^We watch a lot of tv through our Roku, netflix mostly and probably too much at that, but there are plenty of different "channels" that provide a huge variety if one cares to seek it out. I haven't looked for a YouTube channel on there yet though.

Everyone has their favorite ways of entertainment. We've found using YOUTUBE better than just channel-surfing. Hoping we find something we haven't seen a dozen times.

To each his own. Try to find the same Oldies on Roku we find on Youtube. And we don't have to pay for it.

I don't want to watch stuff THAT old. :poke:

Plus it's hard to gather a family of five around the laptop. :) $8, for streaming only, to Netflix is well spent IMO compared to a $50+, used to be, cable bill.
