Liberals (in both parties) have this strange habit of deciding they will increase spending next year, and then calling it a "spending cut" because the increase isn't quite as big as they expected. It's a feat of doublespeak that Orwell would admire.
Are they going to do that again in these talks on avoiding the "Fiscal Cliff"?

Little-Acorn. I hesitate to predict anything that might occur prior to, and after Jan. 1. But. We can all be pretty sure.
The Democrats, and RINO'S in Congress will....above all. Kick this.....4091down Pennsylvania Ave. in Washington DC.

If you announce your intention to spend $100, then actually only spend $40, you have spent less.
Doubletalk is an expertise practiced by politicians of both parties, not just liberals.
It's a skill they develop right after they perfect lying, cheating and ignoring the will of their constituents.

If you spent only $30 last year, then in fact you have spent more. Your statement was the kind of fallacy (that's a big word meaning "lie" I was talking about. Thanks for the demo.

BTW, if the liberals can plan a 15% spending increase, and then later revise it to only a 10% increase and say they "cut" spending by 5%....
...then can conservatives plan for a 20% tax rate cut, then later revise it to only a 15% tax rate cut, and announce they have increased tax rates by 5%?
