We have a Republican governor for the first time in 20 years. In 2010 we elected majorities of Republicans in the House and Senate for the first time since Reconstruction, and last Tuesday they both became super-majorities.

And in the US House, we've increased our coalition by at least two and taken the majority lead:

"Democrats can't remember sitting so low."
North Carolina Republicans can never remember soaring so high in state government with Pat McCrory entering the Executive Mansion and expanding GOP majorities at the Legislative Building come January.
Democrats can't remember sitting so low.
As the dominant force in North Carolina politics for more than a century, Democrats almost always held all the strings of power in Raleigh. They'll all be cut after last week's election. The Democrats' 20-year winning streak for governor is over. They'll hold barely one-third of the legislature's seats, and Republicans remain the majority on the state Supreme Court.
Democrats also took hits in federal races. North Carolina was the only battleground state President Barack Obama lost in his successful re-election campaign. And Democrats lost at least three U.S. House seats.http://www.journalnow.com/news/state_region/article_f11fd150-2c4e-11e2-a195-0019bb30f31a.html

If North Carolina secedes from the Union, college basketball won't have to deal with Coach K anymore.

I don't think secession is necessary. When the dollar implodes the federal government will cease to exist in its present form. The states will then step in and issue their own currency. People who rely on the feds or state governments who are nearly bankrupt themselves won't fare too well.

glockmail. Ya know? There's another way to view, or recognize what happened last Tuesday with the Obama win.
Look at it this way. No matter how powerful he and his Liar's Club think they are.
They are still OUTNUMBERED by Republican Governors....all of whom have their Own State Constitutions's to Obey.
And according to the U.S. Constitution. Those Individual State Constitutions have more Power...in each state. To overrule
whatever the OBAMA Liar's Club, and Congress try to PRESS on the individual states.
Now it's time for OBAMA and Company to squirm without anyone to blame, while trying to come up with new lies to explain
why the FED is headed toward the CRAPPER...and Obama is the Handle.

Now that we've destroyed the Democrat Party in North Carolina, it's time to clean out the bureaucracies that it's created over the last 40 years:
A state Senate committee Tuesday backed a Republican proposal to fire the members of several key regulatory and policy boards and let GOP Gov. Pat McCrory and the party's legislative leaders pick their replacements.
Democrats called it a GOP power grab, while Republicans said it's a cost-saving measure that also gives the new governor the ability to place quickly his own mark in state government. The legislation also would do away with more than a dozen state boards and commissions, scale back others by size or term lengths and reshuffle the power to make appointments to the panels. [emp added]
"We're cleaning up some things that have been left behind, some of them for as long as four decades," said Sen. Bill Rabon, R-Brunswick, adding that it should make the state more efficient and save $2 million.
Democrats on the committee said they were floored by the plan to dismiss all current members of significant panels such as the North Carolina Utilities Commission, state Industrial Commission, Coastal Resources Commission and state Lottery Commission.
"I think it is a breathtaking and unprecedented power grab — there's no other way to describe it," said Senate Minority Whip Josh Stein, D-Wake...

Virginia just introduced a bill to study issuing its own currency, noting that this is also being done, according to the text of the bill, "in the legislatures of the States of Georgia, Indiana, Montana, New Hampshire, and South Carolina". Utah already has its own currency.
Because of The Obama, North Carolina elected a Republican House and Senate for the first time since Reconstruction. We then re-mapped the legislative boundaries drawn by the corrupt Democrats, and furthered our gains in 2012 in both houses, then elected a Republican governor, and for all intents, destroyed the Democrat Party in this state. We're cutting spending and bureaucracies that have been in place for more than 40 years. We're fiscally solvent and accepting new residents escaping from high tax and spend states like New York and California.
When my state issues it's own currency I'll be on board for a full conversion to North Carolina dollars

Liberals here are going nuts, and being exposed:
A strategy memo circulated recently among liberal-leaning groups prescribes "crippling" legislative leaders and Gov. Pat McCrory with bad press and pressure tactics. The memo (http://www.wral.com/news/state/nccapitol/document/12136671/), which was first reported by The Charlotte Observer (http://www.charlotteobserver.com/2013/02/21/3869144/leaked-memo-outlines-liberal-attack.html), details communications strategy, political tactics and polling data that progressive groups can use to push the policy agenda in Raleigh, where Republicans control both the governor's mansion and the legislature.
According to documents included with the memo and interviews, the strategy outline was produced by Myers Research and Strategic Services for Project New America. It was originally provided to Progress North Carolina, a liberal nonprofit that has aggressively attacked McCrory during the 2012 campaign and his early term in office. Progress North Carolina shared the memo with Blueprint NC, a nonprofit that coordinates the activities of liberal-leaning nonprofits. In turn, Blueprint NC distributed it to its member organizations.
