My best friend in Austin, genius that she is, sent me a link to a study about the sun. Basically, as our sun ages, it will expand to the point where it will incinerate the earth. Before that, temperatures will rise significantly. Not even blathering future Republicans will be able to stop it.

Entire report is here:
http://arxiv.org/pdf/1210.5721v1.pdf

Summary of report in the Houston Chronicle science blog here:

What a bunch of malarkey. The Sun is not some burning ball of gas powered by this crazy idea of "fusion". It is the Sun God Helios who rides across the sky on his mighty chariot, crossing over our flat earth from east to west. He is a GOD, he is immortal and will never get fat and bloated as your "science" suggests. And the notion that he will magically turn into a Dwarf, to be tossed about by some drunken Irishmen, is preposterous!

This is not new science by the way. This has long been the view of those who are the artists of astronomy, physics and even chemistry.

They believe this not because of some experiment, but because they observe this when stars expand and explode.

I say artists since till it happens, there remains the possible chance that that dudes Sun God will handle the problem. That was very funny, what he wrote. I am still laughing.

So the linked report agrees that man has nothing to do with Global Whatever, and can do nothing to change it in the future.

Little glimmers of common sense keep showing up more and more.

Who realizes that Mars is going through global warming?

gabby. Tell your best friend to let us all know when that day is approaching in the next Billion years. We may need to go out and get more ICE.

Also. Tell her to let us know what TRANSTAR Television program channel to watch if it happens in less than several Billion years.
I am concerned about my Life Insurance policies probably not being in effect, to cover the damages of the ROAST.

As a reply to Gabby, for information purposes only.

Does anyone happen to know whether the "SUN" leans Left, or Right? Or has any tendencies to be either Republican, or Democrat?

For future reference gabby. Ask your friend, who must be nearly as SMART as you. What political stance the 'SUN' would take down the road....a couple BILLION years?
