Semms the COC does not have a clue when it comes to horses in the US military, Horses still play a vital role in the US military
Monument honors U.S. 'horse soldiers' who invaded Afghanistan
The U.S. special operations teams that led the American invasion in Afghanistan a decade ago did something that no American military had done since the last century: ride horses into combat.
"It was like out of the Old Testament," says Lt. Col. Max Bowers, retired Green Beret, who commanded the three horseback teams.
"You expected Cecil B. DeMille to be filming and Charlton Heston to walk out."
Bowers spoke while sitting in the rural Kentucky studio of sculptor Douwe Blumberg, along with three of his former "horse soldiers."
They, along with 30 fellow commandos on horseback, are the inspiration for a new monument that Blumberg is creating, dedicated to the entire U.S. special operations community.
The statue is scheduled to be erected across from the World Trade Center site in New York on November 11, Veterans Day. The artist rounded up these "horse soldiers" to share their personal stories and mission photos as inspiration for the 18-foot, bronze monument

Everyone should remember Obama, trying to be funny, while actually attempting to patronize Romney...telling him about Aircraft carriers that land airplanes on their deck.
Obama was just repeating all of the Quick Response Lines he practiced over the weekend in His Hotel Room.
He probably thinks he REALLY IMPRESSED his base. After all. His Base is Impressed by anyone who actually speaks English, and fools them so easily.

Using the nearly, long forgotten Liberal, Democrat words, and descriptions we heard during the John Kerry campaign days against Bush. I remember Liberal, Democrats reminding us that ONLY VETERANS, or those who have served in the Military should be permitted to run for the Presidency of the United States.
So. If we now agree with Liberal Democrats who DEMANDED such things back then.
Maybe they should now come out to explain how BILL CLINTON, and BARRACK OBAMA managed to FOOL the Democrats who formerly DEMANDED such qualifications.
And only a few days ago. We had an AMATEUR sitting there telling Mr. Romney about Military capabilities, when most VETERANS know. Obama has lied to all of us, and our families. BUT thought nothing about sending out a FORM LETTER to a Fallen American's family.
Obama is a Liar. A Joke. A disgrace to this nation, and has disrespected the office he now claims...as his entertainment center and connection to other IGNORANT People like himself...in Hollyweird.

History has shown that a long blade at the end of a rifle barrel comes in quite handy when the ammunition runs out!
Sure beats the hell out of not having one.... Obama is a clueless dipshit.. unless its about Islam or Marxism..
FACING OFF AGAINST A MARINE WITH A BAYONET HAS COST MANY AN ENEMY HIS SORRY ,WORTHLESS LIFE.--Tyr

Dwelling on the gaffe itself misses the more important point, imo, that the President of our country took to ridiculing his opponent. Low class.
At least he tried to. Romney has so much grace that he didn't respond in kind.

Bottom Line. No matter what anyone says, from either side of the political aisle here. Someone on one, or both sides will find any reason they can to disagree, or agree. Based on how much false, or true information they have used to create their opinion.
In other words. Opinions really are like A-Holes. Everybody has One. While some people speak from them more often.

Is anyone here getting overconfident? You can get any area code on a Vonage phone. Get a swing state area code and ask the GOP from that state for a phone list to make get out the vote calls. Most don't like to give out more than 100 numbers at a time for obvious reasons. Vonage devices are sold in stores.

Obama was making an argument for Quality vs. Quantity and he is absolutely right about it. He just went about it poorly.
What makes our military so daunting is the superior training, equipment, and technology...not numbers (although they help).
Like a many of the gaffes in this campaign, commentators focus on the specific wording without regard to context. Take Romney's 47% comments for example.
In any case, I'm with Abbey. Obama was most damaged by his snarky and condescending attitude towards Romney during that exchange. He acted very unpresidential. So much so that even Chris Wallace noted that Obama appeared more like the challenger and Romney the incumbent. Kudos to Romney for not biting and maintaining a cool demeanor and polished appearance.

Part of being an effective Liar, and the ability to fool people without fear of being exposed as a so-called, community organizer is, and always has been. The art of condescending, and patronizing others as a means of challenging their intelligence with BIG WORDS, and unknown, unfamiliar words that Intimidate the Uneducated Listener, and Easily Led, follower.
Obama plays the semantic, and rhetoric game better than anyone he manages to fool with his Lies.
