How to Avoid the Failure Trap

But unfortunately, many people in the trenches fail to see failure as a gift largely because of the workplace pressure to perform in the short term—a view perpetuated by the performance review trap

When corporations establish cultures that are safe and do not punish mistakes, employees are encouraged to ask questions, seek out help and acknowledge when a particular strategy or project is not producing the originally designated objective.

Avoid dysfunctional harmony. This stifles healthy differences of opinion, says Weinzimmer, and can lead to passive/aggressive team behavior.

I found a bug in this article:

“Coopetitionhttp://global.fncstatic.com/static/v/all/img/external-link.png” rejects compromise and instead fosters collaboration, or people working together toward effective solutions.

The link to "Coopetitionhttp://global.fncstatic.com/static/v/all/img/external-link.png" points to C:/Users/barbra/documents/......... , not a URI . AND Since the author's name is BARBARA, it tells me that the IT people at Fox news don't make an effort to spell the names of associates correctly.

There really IS no failure trap. Failure, or what most of us call failure. Normally is a pre-cursor to success, or winning.

Unless we, as Human beings experience some form of failure, at least once in our life. We never truly know how great, and hard it is to succeed, or win in anything we do.

I know this line has been used for hundreds of years but. If people Never failed. There would never have been a need for Erasers on pencils, white-out for paper, or SECOND CHANCES.

How boring life would be if everything was "PERFECT". But then. None of us would be here to enjoy it. Because. There is NO SUCH THING.
