A 12-year-old boy was kidnapped and killed in southern Kandahar province on Wednesday, his severed head placed near his body to send a warning to police, said provincial governor spokesman Jawid Faisal.
Separately, a 6-year-old girl was beheaded in eastern Kapisa province on Thursday, said provincial police chief Abdul Hamed.
"We are not sure if she was beheaded by her family or the Taliban, but we know the Taliban control the area," Hamed said of the killing in Jalukhil village. He added that he could not send investigators to the area out of fears for their safety.

They seek to use fear of beheading to control the masses that want no part of their violent insanity. Their actions reveal what crazed animals they are and such animals should be put down with a bullet right between the eyes with no exceptions!-Tyr

Notice the silence from the Obama administration?
Obama just can't lower himself into talking about such disgusting stuff. Not now. Not a week before the DNC convention when those members of the media who fully support Obama will be forced to IGNORE, and NEVER bring up such terrible realities that would Hurt Obama's Image as such a Brave, Peace Loving, Nobel Prize winning PHONY.

So, what are the Muslims doing to rid the world of the threat of the Taliban? Why does it seem it is the non-Muslims are working harder at it than the Muslims?

If the Taliban are the enemies of mainstream contemporary civilized urbane Muslims, why did the those very same sophisticated Muslims endeavor to build a mosque in lower Manhattan, in the shadow of the former World Trade Center, as a tribute to the 9/11 terrorists?

You would think Islamic countries would want to get involved and help out their fellow peaceful Muslim brothers and sisters. Sadly, they don't.

Somehow Jafar missed this post and its very relevant questions?
Two children beheaded and those doing such hideous and vile deeds are doing so in Allah's name!
How about it Jafar, care to answer Sassylady's questions?
I'd like to ask a third question, why do they love to target innocent women and children if they are so brave?-Tyr

People tend to believe what they want to believe. When collective expectations give way to stereotypes, evidence supporting those stereotypes is embraced, while contradictory evidence is dismissed as exceptional, media responds to this and, rather intentional or not, reinforces those stereotypes.
For example, who heard of this--
. August 26, 2012Saudi security authorities uncovered two terrorist cells plotting attacks in Saudi Arabia with links to elements inside and outside the Kingdom, the Ministry of Interior announced today. A statement issued by the spokesman of the ministry said that eight people had been arrested as they prepared to carry out terrorist acts targeting security forces, citizens, residents and public facilities in Saudi Arabia.
According to the statement, the suspects reached an advanced stage in their plan to implement their goals, including the preparation and equipping of explosives to be tested outside Riyadh. The Interior Ministry spokesman said that the investigation uncovered chemicals used to manufacture explosives, remote-controlled booby-trapped mobile phones, documents and cash at three locations, including an annex to a mosque in Riyadh.
The Interior Ministry said security forces arrested the leader of the cell, a Saudi national, who gave detailed information about the plot and cell members, including code names, which led to the arrest of six Yemenis, who also confessed to taking part in the plot. Information provided by the cell leader in Riyadh also led to another cell in Jeddah and the arrest of a Saudi national. Two Saudis, Saleh Mohammed Abdulrahman Al-Suhaibani and Ali Nasser Abdullah Al-Arar Asiri, are being sought for questioning. The Ministry of Interior is asking anyone who has any information to contact the authorities and warned that those who harbors or deals with the suspects will be held accountable for their actions.

Were this a us-led operation, I'm sure it'd be top news.
Also, I post a story on a tv show, produced by a Saudi company and broadcast by a Qatari national tv station, that traditionally would be considered blasphemous. To me, that's an important development in the arena of Islamic theocratic rule, but it doesn't get nearly as many comments as beheaded children and an unconfirmed us drone strike. Violence sells better I suppose. It's a vicious circle IMO. Have a peaceful debate or demonstration and I'd be surprised if it makes page 16-- riot and its front page. Why is that?

Since they are misunderstanders of islam, they are your mess. You don't want to be scorned and shamed you need to do something about changing their interpretation of the koran. They are representative of islam which is proving to be a savage and barbaric religion. The so called moderates need to take action.

This happens in Mexico almost every day. But you don't care because there are no Muslims involved.
Quit being a single-minded donkey and perhaps you will better understand the world around you.

To be fair, they are your mess. The Taliban were enabled by your cold war battle over Afghanistan against the "commies". Their ideology is further based on Wahhabism which was encouraged and propagated by British intelligence in order to cause in fighting between Muslims to weaken the Ottoman Empire from within it's own ranks. You deal with it.
