View Full Version : Our public lands and government abuse using EPA

Citizens that blindly allow liberals/dems to slowly chip away their rights will wake to find to their horror that sleeping so soundly was indeed a tragic mistake. People without wealth and power, without influence are much more easily controlled/destroyed than people that can afford to fight. Why do you think the left has such an intense hatred for the so-called filthy rich? It's not just about money, it's about the combination of money and a Capitalist ideology. Do you think folks like Bill Gates and Warren Buffet are quaking in their boots at the looming horror of higher taxes? This "Fair Share" plan as a tax policy is shaped by lobbyists and insiders and they will always have the advantage on how to avoid getting shafted on the front end. The rest that can afford great accountants, lawyers and consultants will figure out how to avoid paying rather quickly. In the meantime, the average Joe ... get's shafted all to hell ... Average citizens with no way to fight get shafted everyday and everyway! Just look at how the EPA and the BLM treat the general public that attempt to access public lands. For example some people that have an interest in gold prospecting. The agencies cited have decided that the Mining Law of 1872 has been overturned ... without any legislation or other legitimate change. California prosecutes small miners more severely than large scale drug dealers/smugglers. The EPA has decided that a perfectly legal and legitimate practice (suction dredging) has been 'illegal' under the Clean Water Act for 40 years ... they are now grudgingly offering expensive permits to allow people access to an activity that they have always had a perfectly legal right to pursue. Punishing large scale wealth is a destructive exercise but that's only part of the story ... another real concern is the imposition of a peasant feudal system on the rest of us. And that is the real potential horror of obama's famous words "you didn't build that". It's a public forest, but now it's a government forest, and you are forbidden to hunt in it ... Serf/Peasant do not enter!! It's your public land, and unfortunately it will be your taxes paying the guards that will keep you away from it. Because it belongs to the government... individual citizens need not apply. This is the coming tyranny of an obama created socialist “paradise”! The already existing example of our public lands becoming their restricted lands (government) to exclude us from points to far greater abuse coming down the road! Shall we wake up or do we sleep until the fire covers the exits blocking any and all means of escape???

Other than just informing us about the situation, what do you propose we do about it?

Getting the information out there is a first step to getting people motivated to address the problem. First let's vote the big central government dictator out! Then start raising a little hell about our being made second and third class citizens in our own country. Then, for God's sake , contribute time and/or money to the Republican party for the lousy liberal/dem party is a sold out enemy of this nation and deserving only contempt . That's a start, we all must chip in what we can. If not they win and our children /grandchildren will suffer unimaginable misery because of our stupidity, blindness, laziness , indifference and governmenmt indoctrination IMHO.--Tyr

Possibly could look like Tea Party events and putting in candidates that actually will reverse obam's crap, lib idiotcy voted into law and keep the vermin out of power for a few generations. Otherwise lay the Road to Ruination and misery on an Epic scale methinks. We save ourselves or We dont. We are at the crossroads and obama has started us RAPIDLY down the wrong path , we must reverse course quickly before we lose sight of the direction back IMHO. My guess is this election will be our last chance so we had damn well better give it all we got and then some!--Tyr

I hear you, Ty. However, I was hoping you would share how you, personally, are doing something other than posting on message boards. What events in your community have you attended and how did that go? Was it orderly or was it a shouting match? Who did you talk to that you believe will "reverse course"?

Just curious .... you sound like an activist and I am trying to get a little background so I know where to start. Have you ever attended a Board of Supervisors Meeting? Or a Town Hall event? Or a Planning Commission meeting?
I'm not the kind that will make a sign and attend a protest march. I did attend a Tea Party rally on April 15, 2008 in our downtown square. And, in a little town in our county, there is a group of people that stand on a very busy street corner .... on two corners are anti-war protestors (which they aren't as many now that Obama is the warmonger ... but during the Bush years there were so many they created a nuisance), and on the other corner were people who had signs that said "Honk of you support our troops!" I always honked. Does that count as activism?

I am just an ordinary citizen attempting to do my civic duty to the best of my abilities, nothing more nothing less.
More Americans should do the same IMHO.-Tyr
