Not all, but most.
So what is the solution? We can't send them ALL back. The result would be inhumane, as the countries of origin are too poor to absorb that many people quickly.
I think we need to set up huge work farms on the border to construct a huge wall, then a longer term project to make license plates and repair government furniture and stuff. Offer classes in english, american history, cultural assimilation and high school equivalency at night. The ones that work hard and learn well can get higher up on the list for legal immigration. The reaminder can go back to their native land any time or stay in purgutory for up to ten years, then get deported at a reasoable rate so as not to overload their countries infrastructure.

Fuck that. You pay for it and then send em all back when they get trained.
We have a quota system that would work just fine if (once again) the gummit would simply enforce the laws on the books.
And I wanna call BS on the DOJ for firing prosecutors because they were not aggressive enough in targeting immigration.
It is the pols who are not aggressive.

Yes we can send them back and it's only our problem if we let them stay.

We can and we should. Logistically, we'll never find them all at once, or be able to send them back all at once, but we can and should deport every illegal we get our hands on.
And if it screws up their country of origin, oh freakin' well. Not our problem.

Exactly. The same country that handed out maps on how to ILLEGALLY get into the US.
Their own country wants to get rid of them. Why? I really want to know why. Why would their country assist them in LEAVING ILLEGALLY?

The vast majority of those who leave, send back money to their families. This is the GNP of Mexico.

An easier question to answer would be, "why WOULDN'T they want the illegals to leave?"
mexico is dumping their trash in America, and we're actually HELPING them do it. I'm really losing my patience with this.

I don't think it is an easy question. I think it is bullshit. As your second paragraph states.
Is there any among you... who will denounce mexican policies... the machines are against us.... is there any among you....
I know, a movie, but the movie makes a GREAT point. MOST politicians are cowards, they would rather save their "border" around their proverbial seat than the border of the nation they are protecting.....

I say we take the tough love stance with Mexico. We do whatever it takes to get their trash back to them, then tell them to deal with it. It'll be hard for a while, but they'll eventually have to figure out how to run a non-crap country.

Pale I agree that we need to seal off the border, and do it quickly in a draconian way if we have to. But the vast majority of Mexicos trash are good people and a valuable resource. Like any other resource, if untended it can become a problem. That's why I think we should set up work camps and train them to become productive US citizens. If they work hard to build a border wall and learn english and US culture (borders - language - culture) they should be able to get in the back of the line with those who have respected our borders and applied for citizenship the legal way.
This is a legitimate solution that should be taken seriously.

The instability keeps investment away and the result has been poverty for generations. The people who have run from that corrupt system know that better than anyone else.
