In the Qur'aan
And had there not been Allah's repelling some people by others, certainly there would have been pulled down cloisters and churches and synagogues and mosques in which Allah's name is much remembered; and surely Allah will help him who helps His cause; most surely Allah is Strong, Mighty. (22:40)

As is attacking innocent people..

no bearer of burden shall bear the burden of another (6.164)

In addition, the first Caliph Abu Bakr gave explicit instructions on rules of warfare to his governors.
"Do not drown or burn date palm trees; do not kill an animal or a fruit tree; do not destroy markets; do not kill children, old men, or women. You will find some people who have retired in places of worship, so leave them there to practice in peace."

Al Shabab, Al Qaeda or any of these little groups have no authority in Islam to do what they do so it is unfair to call them Islamic or "Islamist" at all. They are no more Islamic than the LRA is Christian.

And does this apply to other places of worship, like Catholic places of worship in Egypt for example? And you know there are exceptions to the rule, the majority of crazies in Islam, which is an extraordinary amount, pervert the Quran, and don't give 2 craps about killing innocents.

And abuse of women, what does the good books say about that? I'll again use Egypt as an example... The international Red Cross reports that about 85% of women in Egypt admit to being abused. They additionally report that about 50+% of men admit to doing the abusing. What does the Quran say about the abuse of women?

Oh, and that website is far from obscure. They've been keeping statistics for no less than 11 years now. I'm sure there are some bogus stories that are passed along to them. But I was put to a test by another Muslim posting here a few years back and found that almost everything post was true. You can't pick out 1 or 2 stories and declare them all false, nor the other way around. The best way is to go by totals. And the totals speak of Muslims still committing atrocities in countries all around the world since 9/11, and not much sign of slowing down.

Over 19,000 Islamic attacks worldwide and you say they are all lies or else the work of common criminals. Convenient to not have the head of the serpent chopped off ,isn't it? jimneyc. All of this sounds much like most of it was written, and composed by either Obama, or members of his staff who are seemingly SWORN, to protecting, and not offending our enemies who claim to be devout Peace Loving people.
There's really no way to deal with them. No matter what we say to the contrary. They must always bounce back and Defend, what they deny as Terrorists...intent on killing others.
