Woman behind military breast-feeding photo fired from job

First I have heard of this story. Gotta love how the progressives keep trying to force their morals and standards on the masses though. Mean military...ruining their do gooder campaign. :rolleyes:


The Washington state woman who orchestrated controversial photos of military moms breast-feeding their kids in uniform was fired from her civilian job as an X-ray technician and the women in the picture have been reprimanded, she said.
Crystal Scott, the spokeswoman for the Spokane-area Mom2Mom group, said her employer blamed media coverage of the controversy when she asked why she was fired. The photo was designed to pressure the military into being more accommodating to nursing moms.


"It’s sad because the media has portrayed Mom2Mom in such a positive light," Scott told Right This Minute. "I was doing something for the good of people. I feel like our organization is making positive changes for women all over the world. To be punished for something that was good was unfortunate."
According to reports, the military moms in the photographs have been reprimanded by the military for violating a rule stating that military uniforms cannot be used to promote a product or cause

The woman fired, who organized the photo shoot - was found to be "out sick" on company time, in a company vehicle - at a media agency. She was fired for that. The rest is crap seeking sympathy. She DESERVED to be fired.

I like how she said using women in military uniforms wasn't a 'statement'. So...what was her point then? If you are going to be controversial...at least be honest about your motives. :rolleyes:

The military has made a "statement" and just said that the uniform can't be used for such purposes. So the 2 gals were disciplined as well. But the woman who organized it, figured she would now avoid her real job, but use the company time and resources to work with the media, while getting paid. Now she can file for unemployment. Hopefully she'll be denied.

It was all for a great cause tho---poor women get mistreated all the time.

I could've sworn the military would do something stupid, but all they were worried about was promoting non-military things using the military.
as far as i can see, they don't care if it's breastfeeding advertisement, or selling some product in uniform.
