We can only hope the fear becomes a reality. Only Pres Obama still has the strut in his walk and the condescending tone in his voice. The rest of the Dem talking heads are showing signs of grasping what is going on in the ral world

WASHINGTON (AP) — In growing numbers, once-confident Democrats now say President Barack Obama could lose the November election.

The hand-wringing reflects real worries among Democrats about Obama's ability to beat Republican rival Mitt Romney, who has proven to be a stronger candidate than many expected. But it's also a political strategy aimed at rallying major donors who may have become complacent.

Interviews with a dozen Democratic strategists and fundraisers across the country show an increased sense of urgency among Obama backers. It follows a difficult two weeks for the president, including a dismal report on the nation's unemployment picture, a Democratic defeat in the Wisconsin governor recall election and an impressive fundraising month for Romney and Republicans
.
"We've all got to get in the same boat and start paddling in the same direction, or we're going to have some problems," said Debbie Dingell, a Democratic National Committee member and the wife of Michigan Rep. John Dingell.

"We can't take this for granted," said Peter Burling, a DNC member from New Hampshire. "I intend to be running scared from now until November."

These worries have also prompted some second-guessing of an Obama campaign operation once perceived as run by disciplined message specialists. Democratic pollster Stan Greenberg and former Clinton adviser James Carville this week wrote that Obama's efforts to convince voters that economic conditions are moving in the right direction aren't swaying people.

"We will face an impossible head wind in November if we do not move to a new narrative," the strategists wrote.

If that animal abusing, homophobic twat is elected President, America will be a laughing stock.

I'll take the laughing stock you declared over the many bankruptcies and misery so far inflicted on this nation. As I guess most Americans that are suffering so greatly would chose as well. Close to half our population is on food stamps and that should be far more reason for criticism of this nation's government policies than the election of a new leader that took his dog for a ride but failed to eat the dog. Obama spoke about how he ate dog and either you are not aware of that fact or you chose to ignore it in your zeal to blast Romney. I ask which is worse and which may be viewed as the more laughable incident?

I know the Dimwit currently OCCUPYING the White House does. He practically bragged about it in a joking fashion! Lemmings usually follow BLINDLY so it is no wonder that THEY (Lil' Libbie Losers) choose to see certain things while blatantly ignoring FACTS or using common sense. It is good to know that there are actually some well informed, level headed, THINKING liberals on DP....the poster above is obviously NOT amongst that small group but it is obvious that they fall into the LLL catagory....which, unfortunately, make up the majority of liberals that I know.

I'll make a note of this and add to the LLL list.

He never abused an animal, that's your uninformed opinion. MANY people used to travel with their dogs in crates back in the day, and his dog LOVED it. You're repeating liberal crap without knowing how the times were. While going camping to destinations all over America, you would see cars pulling in with crates on the roof with dogs wagging their tails.

Also repeating the "homophobic" word which really doesn't exist. C'mon, Romney and others are afraid of homosexuals? Typical liberal ploy to vilify someone who simply has different beliefs. I guess you are an Americaphobe.

We could elect howdy doody to be our president and we would STILL be 50,000x better than your country, and you even know it! That's why you get a bellyache when you see us with pride singing our anthem.

You might want to note that not everyone in the world shares our love for domestic pests. Go to Southeast Asia, where dogs and cats are food items, along with octopus, squid and a few others. Cattle are more revered in India than pets.

When you are a well behaved young person, you eat what is put on your plate. If a meat loaf or soup is placed in front of you, that is what you eat. It's not like you have a choice.
To me, this is as much of a non-story as Romney riding around with the dog on the roof of his car.

Democrats sense the same thing I did when I started this thread:
http://www.debatepolicy.com/showthread.php?35475-Something-is-very-wrong-with-Obama-s-re-election-campaign

Obama's 2012 campaign is not resonating and there is no cohesion in stark contrast to 2008. Somebody has to right the ship.
Although, I'll give Obama campaign points for his recent move to grant work permits to all young illegal aliens that haven't broken the law. A small stroke of genius even though it is a disaster for immigration policy in general.

I wouldn't call it genius, he didn't think of it himself. One of his minions came up with it as usual. It's a grab for the illegal vote. And you can be sure there will be a lot of illegals voting in this election, if it takes place.

At the same time, Republicans need to realize that their only chance to be Obama is to unify their party. That has yet to happen. In two separate state party conventions, Romney was booed and heckled by Tea Party loyalists. How many of those will refuse to vote for him, even against Obama?

Quite frankly, Republicans need only sit back and let Obama continue to fuck things up and continue to say shit that is dumb and dumber the next day. Regardless of the unification, NONE of them are going to vote for Obama. He's a failure, big time. Talk about needing unification, NO ONE wants to really stand behind this idiot. Make that TWO more to add to the LLL list!!!! Wow! How many do we have on this site?! It never ceases to amaze me how THEY pipe up about the strangest things (without any common sense or without anything that is AMERICAN). THEY always refer to other countries when addressing how WE THE PEOPLE should act.

Now, getting back on topic or at least addressing the post made a bit earlier:

Firstly: YOU CAN GO TO SOUTHEAST ASIA...and take B.O. with you (if) you want to condone or defend such despicable acts....we don't eat dogs here in the good ole USA and we don't excuse the despicable act either...in fact, the thought of it makes me wanna puke almost as badly as LLL's make me wanna puke!!!!

Secondly: I eat what I want and ALWAYS knew that some animals are not on the menu (it is called common sense). If my parents put something on my plate that I didn't like....I simply didn't eat that item but they always had other nutritious items in order to grow.

Thirdly: India is full of Idiots...most of the ones that aren't idiots are here in the USA and EAT cattle. If only we could exchange our idiots for more of their intelligent population that we see in our respectable India-American citizens.

Fourthly: YES...dimwits eat dog but since THEY seem to be full of $#!T 99.999% of the time (and B.O. is certainly the ring leader of the THEY group), dog isn't the only thing on the menu.

BTW, forgot to ask, but this goes out to you and others with the belief that Romney abused his dog...

What is your opinion on those who travel, even locally, with their dogs in the back of a pickup truck? I know this happens in Australia too, so don't deny it. A dog riding unsecured in the back of a pickup truck is infinitely more dangerous than secured in a crate. So since you have a problem with animal abuse - what have you done and where have you posted in defense of the poor dogs in the back of trucks? Or is this solely a Romney thing?

Abbey, I like them (just a bit) but they were not conservative and were not extremely good presidents. Both were politically correct and both were anything but defenders of our RIGHTS. Bush Sr. should have finished the job in Iraq or let the UN clean up after SH gave the world the middle finger and Bush Jr did NOTHING to make sure the 2nd Amendment was NEVER again abused as it was after Katrina. He also should have never tipped toed around the cause of 911 and should have never made the comments he did about an obvious threat from Islam...more importantly, he put the final nail in his coffin (for me personally) with his actions over the bailouts. I don't hate them BUT they were certainly no Reagan...by far.

One lasting problem many liberals who hated Bush often seem to ignore. Or they simply refuse to accept about Bush is.
They think those of us who call ourselves conservatives from the right. Condoned, and ignored what Bush did with those Bailouts, and several other Huge Spending programs.
That seems to be what Obama depends upon with his endless refusal to ever take any blame for his actions. It's always so much easier for the Libs, Dems to point accusing fingers at Bush because they are convinced. They are not responsible for anything as long as someone else can be blamed for their own stupidity.
Reality is. Even Bush would be better for America than 100 Obama's.

Mitt has a long history of creating jobs. He knows what it is like in the private sector. He will lead the way to repeal Obamacare and wil cut taxes. He will reduce the amount of government regulaton, He wil OK the Keystone pipeline and repeal the drilling ban

I hope he will make REAL cuts in the insane level of government spending

That is a great start in my book

and my cat would do a better job then Obozo has done

Okay, so this is what he SAYS he will do. But we both know that every politician will lie in order to get votes. How do you know Mitt will live up to his promises?

Okay, but if Romney wishes to pass a bill, doesn't he need to get it through the lower house, then the upper house, etc? The Democrats could block him every time...

Please stop dreaming

The House is not going to flip and R's have a shot a taking the Senate. It has been the Harry Reid Senate where NOTHING is getting done. They have not even passed a budget in THREE years. If Dems hold the Senate and give the voters the usual liberal one finger salute the voters will deal with that in the 2014 mid-term

Here is what the election needs to be all about. the stats are about 6 months old - but they show what Obozo has accomplished, So go ahead and spin this Nell

I believe Hillary did out do B.O. in support BUT, like all Chicago Politics, she was cheated out of it. Of course, the crap about the Clintons being bigots didn't help either. Much dirt was used by both but B.O. was the dirtiest in the end....still is.

For the record, I don't vote on race or gender but looks and shared interests do come into play and Palin is certainly a good-lookin' huntress!!! I'm not crazy about her issue wise but I'd vote for her over Mittens. She should have turned McShame down, finished out her term as she-gov and ran this time around...as VP under Bauchman (another GOOD LOOKIN' WOMAN)! HA!!!

Seriously though....my expectations are already shot to hell....I'll just be glad to see B.O. go for now. A guy I really like is down in FL...so I'll have to grin and bear it until 2016 (if he even runs). And I ain't talkin' 'bout Marc Rubio either!!!!!

I like West too.

Actually, Obama is quite popular in Australia. Now, with Bush, we wanted to lynch him. Not so with Obama. Having a Republican President again will just mean America goes further down the drain. Obama has tried to undo the mess Bush made, now you want Romney to create more mess?

Australians are not noted for being politically savvy about what is good for America. You like Obama because he makes America look weak and that helps make Australia look stronger....which is just an illusion he's created. Don't buy into it. He's more of an idiot than Carter re foreign affairs.

Shall I draw you a map of the tiny island where the people who care live?
You just don't seem to get it- we don't care what people in country X, Y or Z think. I don't know where you've learned otherwise. Do you get these ideas because Aussies care deeply what people in other countries think about your government?

Btw, I was giving you the benefit of the doubt as a new poster, but this charming post has now put you in the category of people who spout any nonsense they've heard that fits their hater world view.
Oh well.

We must be doing something right. For as long as I have posted/read MB's there have been outsider's (Aussies,Canadians etc) on them concerned about American politics and culture....and just dying to tell us all what we do wrong.

I have never even felt the desire to do the same. :)

Perhaps he will use the same tactic Obama is using to go around congress to get things done....presidential discretion I think its called.

Or maybe the voters will toss out more Dems and Mitt will have a Republican House and Senate and the Dems will get steamrolled over

I'm wondering why I bother replying when you don't backup half the shit you post and avoid the hard questions posed to you in return.

So someone who is OBVIOUSLY oblivious to American politics, is against a Republican, even before the stances are revealed? Good little liberal, here's a cookie! LOL

And you wanted to lynch Bush? What does he have to do with your country? Are you mad about the wars still, and the fact that your own country has no backbone whatsoever? And America is going down the drain? Admittedly, we're going through some tough times - but get this - we are STILL better than your country in every way imaginable. Is that why you sound so bitchy about a country you don't live in? Because we are so great and you guys have, um, um, um, beaches and kangaroos?

And Obama tried to undo a mess? LOL In almost every statistical category things have gotten MUCH worse thanks to Obama. He spent more in one year then Bush spent on 2 wars.

Your anti-American crap is nauseating and laughable at the same time, basically because it becomes obvious with each and every post that you are clueless about what you write.

We already help the Aussies, like we do so many other countries. Hell, we even have an amount of Marine troops on the ground to help them. Funny how they complain about US aggression, but then want us on the ground there to help them! Pathetic!

Here in Maryland we are supposed to have a special dog seat belt for them even inside. Things are getting very weird.....

It's been I bet 20 years since I saw any dogs in the back of a pickup here, and we're relatively in the country.

I'm seeing some changes as of late too. But hell, I lived with my brother in Georgia just a few short years ago, and every other truck had a Bulldog or Shepherd in the rear bed. And still to this moment, you'll see thousands upon thousands everyday running around free on the front and back seats, sticking their heads out the windows - also infinitely more dangerous, as even a small accident can kill them. But if in a crate? Most likely fine. I know it's still fairly prevalent in Pennsylvania as well. And hell, as far as just not being strapped in, you even see that in the big cities on a daily basis.

All I'm saying is, that 30 odd years ago, it was fairly normal to see a dog on a crate on the roof of a truck or car. It was more than that to see them in the back of pickup beds. To make Romney an "animal abuser" over it is silly and dumb. But surely, if we want to condemn the man for simply doing what was fairly the norm for the time and place - then I gather Obama is MORE of an animal abuser for EATING dog! LOL But it was normal for the place he was at that age.

Yes, I agree; I never saw the point to all that except that ANY dog story can be used to het people up.

But I don't think this one is working. I just thought, tie it down good with the solid back of the crate toward the front of the car where the wind blows in, and why would it be a problem? I can't see a problem.

It is easy to see why this was such a huge story. Everyday the liberal media and the Obozo drones can talk about Mitt's dog is a day they do not talk about Obozo's economy and his list of "accomplishments"

After all Mitt's dog is a better topic of discussion to them then gas prices, unemployment, record deficits, the US crdit downgrade, ect, ect

I was attacked viciously at our old forum for months for criticising obama's dog eating and a great many of those attacks came from self-acclaimed gung-ho hardcore animal rights warriors and animal lovers , in fact the majority ! Such is the blind loyalty that has become a cultlike following of the "anointed one". Such people abandoned lifelong held principles in order to excuse/defend obama! I found it to be amazing and bordering on insanity . After obama's election I read many hundreds of posts there by such people doing a complete 180 on their previously held views and core convictions.--Tyr
