He's not running for re-election, so he has very little to lose by ignoring the votes and using his time for the presidential election. He states, according to that article, that if elected CIC he would only take a salary of about $39k, or the median salary in the US.

He's making $174,000 now. He should be cutting that if he's only doing 10% of what he was elected to do as a congressmen, and the same goes for other candidates seeking other offices.

I don't like Paul, but I'm honor bound to point out a flaw in gabby's thread.

Bambam voted "present" 129 times while in the Illinois Senate. Hardly an outstanding record.

Bambam has done one thing in his 3 years as president and that is about to be thrown out as unconsitutional.

I have to wonder what he is going to run on, because it certainly isn't going to be his record.
