Part of me wants to know more about this story, and party of me doesn't. WTF? How the hell does any parent do this to their child? And why? I can't really come up with any scenarios that make this story "fit". Did the kids get addicted first and now she is just "helping" them? Was she the first one to get the kids on drugs. And this was also going on for months. No one at the school could tell the kids were on heroin?
LAURELVILLE, Ohio (AP) — Authorities say an Ohio mother has been arrested on charges accusing her of injecting her teenage children with heroin before sending them to school.
The Hocking County Sheriff's Office says 35-five-year-old Shantel Parker, of Laurelville, was arrested Friday at Ohio State University hospital on warrants charging her with two counts each of felonious assault, corrupting another with drugs and endangering children.
Investigators say Parker has been providing heroin and other drugs to her children, ages 14 and 16, for several months.
The teens have been placed with the county children's services agency. Parker was to be jailed in Franklin County to await a hearing and transport to Hocking County. She was in custody and couldn't immediately comment.
