The man who I wished had taken the 2008 nomination, and the last true conservative to run, IMO - endorses New Gingrich:

Not a huge endorsement but I like Thomspon a lot. I was excited about him when he jumped into the 2008 election but was pretty disappointed with his inability to get off to an inspiring start.

I admit it, I've always been a huge Law and Order fan!! But more of the original series and not the tons of knockoffs, although they ain't half bad!

I gave up on TV many years ago. I never watched any of those shows. I liked what Thompson had to say and knew nothing about his role in Law and Order until it was mentioned he had been a TV star. He was my choice in 2008 and would still be today if he ran. I wonder if he's on Newt's short list for VP choices?

I know you directed this at Jim, but I liked him from hearing him speak after he dropped out of the campaign. Never saw one minute of his show.
