Wuzzup, my friends?!?!?!!? I am so glad to be able to get back on board. It has been a helluva weekend. We raced Friday and Saturday nights, the weather was gorgeous, the crowd was all that could be reasonably expected and the payout was excellent. I think I'll be going back this coming Friday and Saturday if we can get all our stuff repaired and race ready by then.

The election cycle for 2008 is getting started early so I have to get my hip boots on and wade out there amongst the imbeciles and take a lot of notes and get a lot of names. I'll work it all out because I love the comprehension of it all. It keeps this old head thinking and working!!!!!!!!!

I am still looking for suggestions as to how to make this thread more entertaining, interesting and educational. To be honest, there have not been many suggestions made to me so far that I believe would enhance the board or properly describe my own relationship with DP. I want to thank those that kept the threads up and alive during my brief absense and encourage anyone that notices I have somehow missed the opportunity to post a Daily Thread to go ahead and post it yourself. It's really a fun thing if we can get it running at adequate speed!!!! Dig it?

He got killed in Viet Nam while I chose to misinterpret his aggressive warning with my own as "live and let live". I am still posting here and other places. I don't know where he is posting now.

what do you race?

Hi, m'59. I am serious about super late models, and sprint cars and I have also been serious about hobby stocks, mini stocks and IMCA modifieds in the past. My thing is the 1/4 - 2/5 mile oval dirt tracks. You know, the $10 admission ticket priced and very reasonable and competitive Friday and Saturday night races. Go fast and turn left, if you ain't got dirt in your beer you ain't at a real race track, et cetera. 1/2 mile tracks and above bore the hell out of me besides the expense of them. Believe me, 20 laps on a 1/2 mile track is 3 times more expensive than the same on any 1/4 mile venue.
