Get use to this folks as the economy continues to sink and as we edge closer to Novemebr 2012. It is clear libs and the Obama lapdogs can't defend Obama's records so one of the things they will do is pull the race card from the bottom of the deck

Dems have a long history of playing the race card
I do love using Al Gore's amazing internet to remind people of the facts
snip
Robert Novak, Washington Post, 10/22/99: Al Gore’s mean streak was not engineered by [adviser] Bob Shrum…In his failed 1988 campaign for president, Gore nailed Massachusetts Gov. Michael Dukakis for the Willie Horton affair long before George Bush Sr. took up that cry.
Roger Simon, U.S. News, 10/25/99: Bradley will spend much of his prep time [for the first Gore-Bradley debate] anticipating Gore attacks. “We always expect to be attacked by Gore,” says a senior adviser to Bradley…And just as he did in 1988 when he raised the Willie Hortonissue against Dukakis, Gore intends to take whatever shots he deems appropriate.
William Kristol, Newsweek, 10/25/99: Big Al can be a tough, mean player, not afraid to be tough and inaccuratehimself. After all, he’s the guy who introduced Willie Horton to the American public in his primary campaign against Michael Dukakis.
Paul Gigot, Wall Street Journal, 10/29/99: One thing we know about this White House is that it plays for keeps. Recall that the candidate who first raised the prison furlough (Willie Horton) issue against Mike Dukakis in 1988 wasn’t George Bush. It was Al Gore.
Sam Donaldson, This Week, 11/28/99: Al Gore does use fear. Remember 1988, it was Al Gore when he was running in the primaries for president who found Willie Horton, and he used Willie Horton against Dukakis.
David Yepsen, Des Moines Register, 12/5/99: Gore lost to Michael Dukakis, but not before becoming the first politician to raise questions about whether Dukakis was too lenient on prison inmate Willie Horton, an example of just how hard Gore can play the game.
Andrew Cain, Washington Times, 12/7/99: Mr. Gore has never been reluctant to go for the jugular. During the 1988 presidential campaign, Mr. Gore was the first candidate to raise the Massachusetts prison furlough program and Willie Horton issue against fellow Democrat Michael Dukakis.
Jeanne Cummings, Wall Street Journal, 12/8/99: Mr. Gore’s approach shouldn’t surprise anyone familiar with his political history. His 1988 presidential bid foundered well short of the Democratic nomination, but not before Mr. Gore slammed...Massachusetts Gov. Michael Dukakis for supporting a controversial prison-furlough system.
Katharine “Kit” Seelye, New York Times, 12/10/99: Mr. Gore’s combativeness has been evident in the past…After all, he was the candidate who in 1988 first raised the issue of prison furloughs in Massachusetts, laying the groundwork for Vice President Bush to seize on the image of Willie Horton.
Ceci Connolly, Washington Post, 12/11/99: He is aggressive, outspoken and increasingly eager to draw sharp–some would suggest unfair–contrasts with his opponents. The approach, reminiscent of his 1988 effort, has rejuvenated the Gore team…In that race, it was Gore who first pinned rival Michael S. Dukakis for a controversial prison furlough program.
Susan Page, Late Edition, 12/12/99: We’re reminded this week…what a fierce campaigner he is. He showed us before. In 1988, he was the one who raised the issue of prison furloughs against Michael Dukakis in the primaries, before the Bush people had heard of it. He’s a very fierce campaigner.
Dan Balz, Washington Post, 12/20/99: Gore prefers the cut-and-thrust of traditional politics and has often defined himself by criticizing his opponents. It was Gore, after all, who in 1988 introduced Willie Horton into the presidential campaign.

I don't know why they ever said that anyway. Fact is that Bill had lost elections prior to becoming President.
The fact is though, if not for some Dems throwing the race card out there in 2008 Hillary Clinton would be President right now.

Bill was caught making racial comments, yet the libs said little about it.
It was Hillary supporters who first started the birther stuff. But our resident troll will ignore that fact as well as did the liberal media

I know Bill personally. Not well but I DO know him, and he's not a racist dude. He's good people and he and Hillary DO care about people. Sure they have their flaws as well do, but they are good people. I doubt anyone could honestly say that about the Obama. I think he only cares about himself and his giant ego.

Valid point
Allow me to revise and extend my remarks
Bill chose the wrong way to try and win Ted's support for Hillary
I wonder if Bill is quietly making calls right now to see who would support Hillary in a primary challenge?

With all due respect RSR, what did you expect this administration to do at the point of self destruction, being an all to familiar ground of which the left always seem to wind up. Bammy, in the short version, has reached "Critical Mass". While in actuality playing the race card is a positive sign of their desperation, manifested by there inabilty to legitimately defend the indefensible.
There is literally no where for him to turn, as not only everything he has done failed miserably. But he doesn't even know how to go to the "Middle" of the proverbial road as Wild Bill Clinton was forced to do in his second term.
While not only lacking the ability to lead under any circumstances, he doesn't even have the humility necessary to re-evaluate his unjustifiable position. While on top of that he is in fear of losing his hard core left wing base, as they are now speaking out against him for NOT going far enough into spending ( BTW Great Britian could easily be "Christmas Future " for us ).
I say "bite the Bullet" for the next 15 months, and let him finish what he started ( blatently showing the World that Socialism doesn't work ). For there can only be one outcome, and that end result will ostensibly ring the "Death Knell" for liberalism for at least as many years as I have left ( After Bachmann put the kabash on leftist ideals in yesterday's straw poll in Iowa, I guarantee you that their is a plethora of "finger pointing" going on today in the bammy camp ). While actually we have no real choice on this matter, as there are no mechanisms in place for an economic turnaround in at least 2 to 3 years.
So the best approach that we can have at this juncture, is keep putting pressure on the "Establishment" Republicans. By letting them know that it will no longer continue with "Business as Usual" in that cocoon called Washington.
PS: Term Limitations would be a good start to economic prosperity, as would a cease and desist on all "pork Barrel" spending.

But I am surprised Bill thought something like this would work. I guess this is another reason why the poster who kept bellowing the Clintons do not lose electons was so wrong :laugh2:

Teddy's anger (http://www.debatepolicy.com/#)
One of the enduring mysteries of the 2008 campaign was what got Ted Kennedy so mad at Bill Clinton. The former president's entreaties, at some point, backfired, and the explanation has never quite emerged.
I've finally gotten my hands on a copy of Game Change (http://www.amazon.com/Game-Change-Clintons-McCain-Lifetime/dp/0061733636), in which John Heliemann and Mark Halperin report:
[A]s Hillary bungled Caroline, Bill’s handling of Ted was even worse. The day after Iowa, he phoned Kennedy and pressed for an endorsement, making the case for his wife. But Bill then went on, belittling Obama in a manner that deeply offended Kennedy. Recounting the conversation later to a friend, Teddy fumed that Clinton had said, A few years ago, this guy would have been getting us coffee.
