I have no idea what kind of tree this is, but in spring, for about a week, this is the most beautiful tree. Then it gets boring after the petals fall off. These were from last saturday.

Looks likke a cherry blossum tree to me.

but we don't get any fruit (or anything that would resemble fruit) out of it.

No.. Just flowers for a week or two, I think.. I had one that looked like that, but with pink and white flowers, and crab apples after awhile. :)

Fuzzy... I was thinking it looked like a crabapple at first, but the blossoms look more like a pink dogwood. Anyway, gorgeous tree! :)
A lot of our trees' blooms withered & died this year, bc we had a cold snap. :(

could be. Maybe I will take close-ups of the bark and actual leaves, and take them to a nursery and ask them. I want to put a tree like this in my backyard in place of this ugly half-dead box elder that sits behind my deck. And maybe one in my garden.
