I listened to about 15 minutes of the rabbi... was there something else? He was saying that Jews should not marry non-Jews... OK... what's the big deal?

Everything he said (up to the point I listened to) was biblical. God told the Israelites not to have anything to do with the nations that inhabited the land they were about to possess. And when the Jews did the consequences were that they fell away from worshipping God and worshipped other gods, e.g. Baal..

That's still what the Torah says.. Jews are not to marry (or have children with) Gentiles...

oh, and he seemed to be a big proponent of Shabbat (the Sabbath) and keeping it... OK, still one of the 10 commandments....

did I miss something? I couldn't listen past 15 minutes because my computer started going into overload when I went past it.
