An Texas mother is in jail facing charges of selling her child. Police say they arrested Tina Valdez Tuesday night in Windthorst, Texas for selling her 15-year old daughter.
Valdez allegedly forced the girl to write a note saying she was leaving home to find her father and sold the teen last August for $3,000.
According to Archer County officials, the girl was sold to Jason Carlile, who then took the girl to Mexico.
The U.S. Marshals investigated and were able to contact the girl in Mexico April 23. They advised her to come to the U.S. Consulate in Mexico where she was taken into custody and flown back to the U.S.
