Why is it these politically defeated liberals never just go away, and almost always side with America's enemies?

Former U.S. congresswoman McKinney speaks on state TV in Libya

A former U.S. congresswoman slammed U.S. policy on Libyan state TV late Saturday and stressed the "last thing we need to do is spend money on death, destruction and war."

The station is fiercely loyal to Moammar Gadhafi and her interview was spliced with what appeared to be rallies in support of the embattled Libyan leader.

"I think that it's very important that people understand what is happening here. And it's important that people all over the world see the truth. And that is why I am here ... to understand the truth," former Rep. Cynthia McKinney said during a live interview.

She said she was invited to Libya by the "nongovernmental organization for fact-finding," adding that she intends to bring more people to the country soon so that "they too can understand."

NATO warplanes have been pounding military targets since March after the U.N. Security Council approved a resolution to protect civilians by any means necessary as Gadhafi's forces try to quash a nearly three-month revolt against the leader's roughly 42 years of rule.

Gadhafi's government has repeatedly urged the international community to send fact-finding teams to Libya to report what's happening on the ground.

At one point during the interview, state TV cut to what it said were live airstrikes, hitting Gadhafi's compound.

"Is that a bomb?" McKinney asked.

"I want to say categorically and very clearly that these policies of war ... are not what the people of the United States stand for and it's not what African-Americans stand for," she told state TV.

During WWII the US created fake armies and made the Germans move their fefenses away from Normandy. With that and Hitler's stupidity the Allies won the battle of D-Day

Would have preferred Ike to sentd Hitler an invitation to the landings?

Speaking of 9/11 you remind me of someone

9/11 Video Doesn't Hold Water
The U.S. Justice Department released a video last week of what appears to be American Airlines Flight 77 crashing into the Pentagon on the morning of September 11, 2001.

Bush must take Charlie Sheen for an idiot.

The right-wing mind control machine may have pulled the wool over the eyes of the ignorant red state masses, but when it comes to the finer intricacies of aeronautical engineering and aviation crash physics, they’re on Big Chuck’s turf.

If there are two things Charlie Sheen knows, they are: 1) It’s not “kiddie porn” if the website says the babes are “barely legal”, and 2) a Boeing 757 doesn’t simply zip to the ground like a bullet and disintegrate on impact as if it had slammed into a reinforced concrete fortress at 400 mph. Anyone in the movie business will tell you that when a commercial aircraft crashes, it sort of glides down in slow motion, clips the guitar off the top of the Hard Rock Café, and then skids on its belly for about 13 blocks before screeching to a halt mere inches away from the edge of a cliff. Yet to this day, any photographs taken of the Pentagon crash site show very little debris, if any at all.

You’d think that if Bush was going to stage a phony plane crash convincing enough to fool everyone but our most brightest Hollywood stars, he’d at least toss a landing gear or a section of the fuselage out onto the lawn. But the Shrub got cocky and slipped up, and Charlie Sheen was all over him like Charlie Sheen on a barely legal call girl. Now, when a majority of celebrities believe Bush personally flew into the Pentagon with a pair of ACME bat wings and a giant firecracker strapped to his back, out comes this convenient video. But nobody’s buying it, least of all Charlie Sheen.

The video itself is of such poor quality that it wouldn’t even fool Emilio Estevez. The Pentagon can photograph me from outer space, yet they can’t put a camera in their parking lot capable of producing an image larger than three inches wide?

I’m afraid that until Bush provides Sheen with some better footage, or finally allows Molly Ringwald to analyze metallurgical data from all the supposed “debris” recovered at the “crash site”, the jury is still out on Bush's innocence, as well as the fate of Flight 77.

Rep. Cynthia McKinney (D-GA) punched a U.S. Capitol Police officer today after he mistakenly pursued her for failing to pass through a metal detector.

Members are not required to pass through metal detectors and the officer, manning a position at Longworth House Office Building, apparently did not recognize McKinney and didn't see her Member pin.

The officer called out "Ma'am, Ma'am," in an attempt to stop her.

When the officer caught up to McKinney, he grabbed her by the arm.

McKinney pulled her arm away, swung around, cell phone in hand, and punched the officer square in the chest, according to the witness.

McKinney's office did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

See Here's the thing the capital police are trained to KNOW ON SIGHT every congress person. There is no need the capital police to constantly ask any of them for ID. And being one of the few Black women there should make it even easier for them. As Paul Harvey would say
"that's the REST of the story."

Going on lybian TV is a going to far though. Even though I think this Libyan war thing is wrong out of the gate. Ghadffi is not a choir boy. So while I agree that she's probably right. That the bombing is wrong and That NATO may be killing more Libyans than Ghadaffi has or will. That Libyan TV is not the place to make that statement. It gives the Impression that she's pro Ghadaffi rather than Pro Libyan people who seem divided in there loyalties at this point. But She may be Pro Gadaffi I don't know, Heck we were Pro the Shaw and Pro Saddam and pro Noragia as long as they played ball. And Senators McCain and Libermann were over in Libya on state TV a year or so ago as well promising and working on a growing "relationship" with Gadaffi so I'm not sure McKinney's action here are that horrible.

The "pin" is required Rev. She tried to run thru and not follow the rules. Of course she played the race card and finally the voters had enough of her and fired her ass

The Capitol Police have requested an arrest warrant for Rep. Cynthia McKinney, who last week assaulted one of their officers when he had the temerity to make her identify herself upon entering the Capitol.

U.S. Capitol Police on Monday asked a federal prosecutor to approve an arrest warrant for Rep. Cynthia McKinney after she tangled with a uniformed officer last week. A spokesman for U.S. Attorney Kenneth L. Wainstein said he was reviewing the merits of the case. “We are working with Capitol Hill police to fully understand and appreciate the incident,” principal assistant U.S. Attorney Channing Phillips told The Associated Press in a telephone interview.

McKinney framed the matter in terms of race. “The issue is racial profiling,” McKinney, who is black, told CNN.

It’s hardly shocking that McKinney, who has a history of blaming her continual malfeasance on discrimination, is once again playing the race card. My gut tells me that she will once again get away with it, as the Capitol police have a greater interest in maintaining smooth relations with the Members than prosecuting the occasional errant Member who will not abide by the rules of civilized behavior.

I've worked in Gov't Buildings with pretty strict ID policies. And the police/Security for certain people is different than others. Frankly i noticed that the security guards after they knew them RARELY asked ID of the pretty women. But for the Men security was by the book most of the time. So I had to show ID nearly every time. But some women in my office only had to flash a smile to get in the door.

I can't blame the guys for it. there were a lot of Beautiful woman in that building. But it kinda became a joke security wise.

Quickly I found this.

It is true that at the time I was not wearing my pin. But many Members of Congress aren't wearing their pins today. Just in the last hour at least 8 Members of Congress have been spotted speaking from the well of the House without their pins and even more have been seen on the Hill today not wearing their Congressional pin. How many of them were stopped by Capitol Hill Police?...
http://www.wsbtv.com/news/8361195/detail.html

....In the House, the chair of the Administration Committee gets to choose the pin.* Some designs are more popular than others: Rep. Mark Foley told Roll Call he thought the newest design was "stunning. I didn't think much of the last pin and I didn't wear it often—it looked like it was trying to accomplish too much."

You don't have to wear your pin, but it's the best way to get past the security lines if the guards don't know your face. In the Roll Call article, Foley declared himself "not a big pin-wearer, I don't like to damage the suits." Cynthia McKinney has refused to wear her pin for more than 10 years.

When a member of the House retires—like Tom DeLay just did—he gets to keep his old pins but won't get any of the new designs. That doesn't mean DeLay will lose his access privileges. Under current rules, DeLay will get a special "former member of Congress" pin that he can use indefinitely. The representatives' spouses also get pins (of a different color).

Non-congressmen use one badge to get through security and another for floor access. The most recognizable senior staffers can slip past guards without their badges, just as many lawmakers get by without wearing their pins.

It's a fashion no-no to wear your badge when you leave the Capitol grounds—only a summer intern would do that. Pins, on the other hand, can be left on at all times. (The sergeant-at-arms does tell lawmakers not to wear their pins around town when there's a high risk of terrorist attacks.) In 2003, Rep. Mike Ferguson wore his pin to the Rhino Bar and Pumphouse in Georgetown. A few hours later, the pin ended up in the hands of college junior Michelle Mezoe. He says she stole it; she says he tried to use it to pick her up. She only returned the pin after Ferguson called the police.///

And Apparently the police officers charge of the "punch" were dropped due to insufficient evidence.
And I also found that the officer had only been there 3 years.
And she Does admit to slapping another guy though in a different incidence.

Nothing you posted shows they don't have to wear ID/Pin, only that others don't, and that wearing it can prevent issues. So again, if she wore hers, it could have prevented the issue. Stating that it doesn't happen to others does not give her a free pass to break rules herself. I see nothing whatsoever wrong with the officers actions. I'm VERY confident that all charges were dropped more so because of who she is and less so because there was lack of evidence.

That others don't wear them does show that it's not a policy that's strictly followed or enforced IF it is a policy. But yeah your other points are good ones. But why the charges we're dropped... due to lack of evidence or the typical He/shes a congressmen still debatable too. And If the worse thing Congresscritters got a away with was shoving cops a time or 2 I wouldn't mind so much.

but here's another wrinkle in capitol "security"

Fake congressional lapel pins available at Hill gift stores

Washington's media world was rocked last week when it was reported that Nelson Lewis, a former Fox News booker and one-time producer for Laura Ingraham, was charged with illegal possession of a congressional lapel pin. The bizarre story goes that on Nov. 17 a man, later identified as Lewis, reported an assault on a member of Congress to U.S. Capitol Police, according to court documents acquired by The Washington Examiner.

When Capitol Police arrived, Lewis was wearing a congressional lapel pin and allegedly identified himself as Rep. Jack Kingston, a Lewis family friend. Lewis apparently also told police that the pin was given to him by an uncle who was a member of Congress who had passed away. Once officers determined Lewis wasn't a member of Congress, the 26-year-old was arrested.

Lapel pins are given to members of Congress so they are able to bypass security when entering any congressional building. While Lewis' pin was verified as authentic, the chatter on Capitol Hill turned to the fact that similar pins are available at official congressional gift stores.

Yeas & Nays went shopping at the Senate gift store inside the U.S. Capitol and at the House gift store inside the Longworth House Office Building, and we found a variety of similar lapel pins. The cheapest one would cost us, or any potential fake congressman, $4.14. The gift stores are open to the public, but shoppers must pass through Hill security.

U.S. Capitol Police did not reply to messages asking whether officers were aware of the souvenir pins and whether they had been trained to determine the difference between real pins and pretend ones.

These pins are given strictly to the members so that they can bypass the security gates. A guy was just arrested last year for wearing one when he wasn't a member. I believe it had belonged to his dead uncle who wa sa member of congress or something like that. But again, what you're saying is akin to someone speeding and then complaining he shouldn't have to pay his ticket and get points because the police didn't stop others. Breaking the law or a policy is breaking a law or policy. Follow what is set forth and you won't have these issues - which the guy arrested last year found out the hard way!

Clearly there is racism from BOTH sides Rev. But the left uses it as a crutch and a catchall charge to give their fellow liberals a pass and avance their liberal agenda

When Charlie Rangle was caught cheating on his taxes - the charges were racially motivated

When Republicnas went after Fannie and Freddie during the Bush years, Dems said they were going after the heads of Fannie and Freddie because they were black

And of course we have Obama where anyone who opposes him is a racist

If you are a member of the Tea Party you are a racist

If you supported the AZ immigration law you are a racist

If you opposed the Ground Zero Mosque you are a racist

There are racists in the U.S. Depending on what part of the country you live in, there may even be some institutional racism. There are those who help foster racism against themselves, and there are those who distract everyone from valid cases of racism by dropping the race card every time. The real problem is that racists come in every color, but no one wants to do anything about any but white racists.

Similar to Missile, I'd say racism exists within every race and is worse in some areas. And without a doubt the race card is pulled much too often and much too quickly by much too many blacks. But if whitey claims racism against a black person, they are now the racist for having the audacity of even thinking a black person could be racist.
