My friend Sharon in Melbourne texted me a couple of times last night to assure me that the world had not ended. She then e-mailed me a pic of a "rapture party" at a Melbourne area pub about midnight, their time.
Since, in Australia, there is no occasion (or lack of one) that can't be celebrated by drinking. :p
