Obama is sucking up to the Muslims - what else could he do? He thinks he has the Jewish vote locked up here in America so what does he have to lose?
Execept honor - which he never had anyway
achieving peace between Israel, its neighbors, and the palestinians is in America's best interests. Israel knows that giving up land for peace will have to be part of any long range solution. Moving that process along makes sense.

Hey you remember when the PLO stepped down? Wasn't it just a few years later that HAMAS got rolling? So here's one: What happens when the new anti-Israel group shows up? How much ground are they supposed to give then? And what of the ones that follow that group?

With each new group of terrorists, Israel must trade away land to gain peace.
Eventually they'll run out of land to give away, but by then the liberals will have figured out another way for Israel to give something to gain peace.
Appeasement has such a sterling track record, you know.

that's the wisdom of using 1967 as a benchmark.
Everything that I have heard would indicate that the radical view of Hamas is on the wane. Arab spring was about democracy, NOT theocracy. Throughout the demonstrations, there were NO signs or placards denouncing Israel of The USA... that is telling.
If Israel can work with Abbas, my guess is that Palestinians will go along with him and with an agreement that gives them a country of their own, and they'd be willing to live in peace with Israel. There are a LARGE number of palestinians living in both the west bank and Gaza who make their living crossing into Israel and working at Israeli businesses. Peace allows them to continue to provide for their families and live in their own nation.

Muslim rule IS theocracy, Double M. If you don't understand that you might get yourself a copy of the Koran and do some reading before jumping into a discussion you might just not be prepared for. Just sayin....

You said they are not looking for a theocracy, a claim that shows a woeful lack of knowledge of Islam. Sure they can be a majority, but they will not stand for a non-theocratic government.

You want to tell me that those countries to even TRY to pander to the followers of Islam that they profess to represent?
1. You need to actually learn about the religion you are trying to discuss.
2. You need to open your freakin' eyes. Go to one of those countries and run afoul of the morality police and let me know how your "not a theocracy" argument stands.
