Merry Christmas to all the Bush haters.
NEW YORK — Make that 2 million books sold for former President George W. Bush.
The Crown Publishing Group said Wednesday that Bush's "Decision Points" passed the 2 million mark less than 2 months after its official release.
Published in early November, Bush's memoir about his key presidential decisions and other choices has topped the best-seller list on Amazon.com for weeks. More than 2.6 million hardcovers are in print after an initial run of 1.5 million.
The 2 million books sold include nearly 200,000 e-editions.

Beauty and brains - what a package you are SL!!!!!
Meanwhile the liberal media stepped in it again
Word has spread across the Internet of an embarrassing gaffe by CBS News Sunday Morning – the airing of a mock cover of President Bush's memoirs, "Decision Points."
The fake, photo-shopped cover appeared only for a fraction of a second during the 9 a.m. EDT hour of the CBS News Sunday Morning, but was picked up by Internet news outlets. The mock cover features the title "Decision Points" on top, with a picture of President Bush underneath. Below his name appears "How I Managed to Go Eight Years Without Making One Good Decision."
The image reportedly first appeared on the satirical website "Drudge Retort" in November. It aired on CBS when the network, during a piece on book covers, flashed various covers in succession, one of which was the mock cover of "Decision Points." CBS claimed that the picture was pulled from the Internet by accident when they were looking to insert an authentic cover of "Decision Points."
CBS told Newsday.com on Tuesday that "it's a mistake no one could see because you'd have to freeze the frame to notice it," and that "we have to be more careful when downloading material." The website linked to the CBS News segment, but the network subsequently pulled the video.

The hate for Pres Bush continues, and it is increasing as they watch Obama fall on his ass.
More and more people are learning Bush's recession was much better then Obama's recovery

It's probably liberals buying up the books. ;)

We misunderestimated him: Bush's memoir sells 2m copies in a month - nearly as many as Bill Clinton's sold in six years
By Daily Mail Reporter
For someone who mangled words on a regular basis, it's an impressive feat.
Former U.S. President George W Bush's memoir has sold an astonishing two million copies since it was released in early November - and it's not even in paperback yet.
'Decision Points', published both in hardcover and e-book form, is flying off the shelves, the Crown Publishing Group says.
By contrast, former president Bill Clinton's memoir, 'My Life', has logged sales of 2.2million copies since it was first published in 2004.
A spokesman for Crown called the performance remarkable.
He claimed he could not think of any other hardcover nonfiction books in 2010 that had sold even one million copies, much less two.

Did you buy all 10,000? Does that really count as "sold" if you buy them yourself?

Or he could have given them to his best friends - the passed out drunks on the street
Bottom line is, libs are pissed to see many people buying President Bush's book
In fact many libs are using the book to "prove" Pres Bush committed "war crimes" and thus should be arrested

Merry Christmas to all the Bush haters.
It would be interesting if ONE of the, any ONE of them, presidents actually wrote an actual completely honest and open book about what happened in their presidency
But of course we will not be privy to such info until we meet our maker

Although I meant that remark as purely humor which obviously escaped you, SL, the fact that institutional sales such as RNC, Heritage Foundation, even retailers like Barnes and Noble, Borders, WalMart, etc. that buy the books and later return the unsold or ungiven copies to the publisher are included in that 2 million copy number. Is this getting above your head, SL?

I don't know how President Clinton fits into this equation but I do understand that his book is in it's 3rd printing and ALL of the other 2 have been sold to individuals. My google is killing me right now, Kath. I've got a bug of some kind and between all my resouses so far I can't find a fix. Other things are infected as well.

Seriously if one wants a conversation, one needs to read what's gone before. Some can do it off the tops of their heads, much more often right than wrong. Some cannot.

I saw that, Kath, but then I forgot about it. We still don't know and will never know how many of the gwb books will be returned. That's all I'm trying to say. on the other hand, why yes I like to be the contrarian in these gwb diatribes.

If you want to make a comparison like this you need to post some facts. Take for example .... Clinton's book. How many copies did he "sell" in his first month? Compare apples to apples ..... unless you are saying that Clinton never sold books to the "institutional" sources.

I did not even intimate in any way that Clinton's books were not wholesaled at the institutional level. But I do wonder why they would have entered additional printings had they not been "SOLD OUT" which is normally the case. I don't mean to unjustifiably extrapolate but at this early stage in the gwb memoir we really don't have a good camparison, do we?

The facts are PB it took 6 YEARS before Bill Clinton's book sold 2 millions copies
It took 2 months for Pre Bush to reach that mark

cmon now RSR,,, 6 years in the ninties and first decade of the century are not the same as 6 years nowadays,,,,nowadays, you have to compute in google time, viruses, and whatever, now you also have to consider the NY Times is older than it used to be and Clinton has a lesbian wife,,,,oh and its raining alot in San Diego this year,,,,so, with all that in mind, yea, Clintons book did better,,,,I think, or was it Carter,,,no,,,,,hmmm, no other Dem Presidents to bring up,,,,oh, LBJ,,,yea, LBJ, his book...;

Pretty amusing seeing the excuses of why Dubya's book is so much more successful than Billy Bob's.
It's completely shameless of MSNBC to dredge up a Salon employee to chat about it. That lisping hippie is about as objective toward Bush as Rodney King's opinion of LA cops wielding billy clubs.

'Twas December two-eight and all through the house,
Not a driver was stirring, nor even the mouse.
Pyscho went to log onto the internet,
When a startling obstacle he quickly met.
Somehow in the time when PsychoBlues was chillin',
His computer had failed him, and sat there all illin'.
Was it porn? Was it games? Was it some sort of bug?
He wept for a moment, and went for the plug.
When what to his watery eyes should appear,
But a program which promised such problems to clear!
A free anti-virus! Is what it proclaimed,
Needing only a PIN, Account Number and Name.
Our Hero surrendered his info with glee,
Thinking how in a short time the Trojan would flee!
But alas, not a week hence, his computer had died,
And a new "David the Psycho" sipped martinis poolside.
The moral here, children, is easy to see -
Keep your porn in hard copies, 'cause titties ain't free!
