Well lets think aout this... Banks borrow money at near zero percent interest fromthe feds. they loan the money out at 4-10% interest depening on your credit (could be higher) than they use YOUR money to borrow more and give you next to NOTHING in return.... hmmmm I don't like them either but I do see them as a neccessary evil...!!

Maybe you have a problem with the Fed then. ;)
Or you could not borrow money and put your money in a money market, avoid the banks altogether.
I was though hearkening back to previous Rev posts.

ohh I dont begrudge the banks making a profit it the INSANE profits they make that make me cringe... I mean come on they make bad decisions and YOU and I bail them out by VERY low interest loans from the fed and then they have the nerve to pass on their losses to you and I in the form of higher fees and higher interest rates yet lower yields..... If the fed would just stay out of it and make these guys accountable!!!

If you notice the only people Jesus Physically Attacked were the "moneychangers".
The business model, even when honest, is called "Usery"
loaning for interest. Which is not encouraged but allowed Biblically. AND the interest isn't suppose to be outrageous. AND they aren't suppose to take a persons living or blanket when collecting.
Currently the banks, Large primarily but some small as well, are doing some or all and MORE.
the federal reserve, is the such a scam.
Goldman sachs and other investment banks are corrupt beyond the pale.
AND have ripped the country of to the tune of TRILLIONS. together they breaking the country down financially. Creating recession and depression but getting rich as they go.
At least the big Oil companies give you something useful to live with.
Big Agras produces food that's not all bad for us. we have to eat.
I suppose the Military Industrial complex is bad too. Murder machines for sale, ginning up war for profits.
the Abortion Industry is the only thing I can think of worse, i suppose.
But if we had to, we could live without banks. People buy homes and start business without banks everyday.
So yeah, Banks are on my top ten list of industries wrecking the country.

Hamilton was a banking tool and one of the 1st big gov't promoters.

That second one didn't seem too flattering to Jefferson.
Could you summarize for me the issues you see with the banking system, specifically any potential differences to what we have today; Would it be different or largely the same?
