The world lost a great comic and may he RIP




LOS ANGELES -- Leslie Nielsen, who traded in his dramatic persona for inspired bumbling as a hapless doctor in "Airplane!" and the accident-prone detective Frank Drebin in "The Naked Gun" comedies, died on Sunday in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. He was 84.

The Canadian-born actor died from complications from pneumonia at a hospital near his home at 5:34 p.m., surrounded by his wife, Barbaree, and friends, his agent John S. Kelly said in a statement.

He was also played next to actor Walter Pidgeon in the 1956 Sci Fi Classic "Forbidden Planet". That is the movie on which the Star Trek episode "The Cage" was based on.

I think Leslie Nielson was the funniest person I have ever seen. Airplane is one of my favorite movies. He could make me laugh even when I was in a bad mood. There was no one like him!!!!!!! Leslie Nielson made my kind of comedy.

My Favorite Was in The Naked Gun When Priscella Presley was on the Ladder And he looks up At her and says NICE BEAVER
and she says Thanks I just had it stuffed:laugh: Then hands down a stuffed beaver I still laugh my ass of at his works of art

He was pretty darn funny in one of the "Scary Movie" movies too. Not sure which one it is.but he plays the president...freaking hilarious!
