The single most important thing we want to achieve is for President Obama to be a one-term president. - Mitch McConnell(R-KY)
Not securing American energy independence...Not bringing American jobs home from overseas...Not dragging America back from the brink of economic collapse...Not educating our children to compete in the world marketplace...Not reigning in the excesses of Wall Street...Not unifying Americans of every race and creed...But destroying the presidency of Barrack Obama.
The scorched earth politics being espoused by the GOP leadership will effectively bring government to a halt. It will divide the country ever more sharply. "A house divided against itself cannot stand.", and the political power at any cost approach of the GOP/Teapublicans will serve America, and all of her peoples poorly. SO be careful what you wish for, all you right wing-nut lemmings...You may just get it.

Maybe the GOP wants all the things you mentioned but have seen Obama and his administration fully fuck all those things up, and thumb their noses to what the American people wanted. Maybe they expected him to actually have a transparent administration as he promised. Maybe they actually expected him to allow the citizens to read the bills for days before doing quick votes (not to mention actually expecting the people voting on bills to read them as well).
The GOP is more interested at this moment in getting rid of him so that someone CAN do the things you mention. It's become quite obvious that a community organizer is not up to the challenge.

Obama;
“If Latinos sit out the election instead of saying, ‘We’re going to punish our enemies and we’re gonna reward our friends who stand with us on issues that are important to us,’ if they don’t see that kind of upsurge in voting in this election, then I think it’s going to be harder and that’s why I think it’s so important that people focus on voting on November 2.”

Hmmm, we have the President telling one group of Americans that another group of Americans are their enemies. The country is already divided and Obama is contributing quite well to that divide.

BP... stay away from Preparation H will you? It might shrink you to the point of nonexistence
and, oh by the way, destroying Barak Obama's presidency is just fine with me. Of course, Barack O-braindead and his pals in the Proletariat (formerly known as Congress) have already done enough to ensure the destruction of Barak Obama's presidency, no further assistance is required from the Tea Partiers or anyone else....
I only hope and pray that he's impeached just so that we can get some relief from the Barack n' Bailey Circus

Getting Mr. Obama out of office will go a long way toward doing most of what you are whining about in this post.

Barack Obama is destroying his own Presidency. And he is taking too many of us with him. It would be foolish not to stop this madness.
As for Senator McConnell, maybe he should shut the heck up and do his freakin job by actually proposing bills that will limit the power of the Federal Government and cut the waste, spending, taxes, etc.
So freaking tired of politics as usual. I am surprised you aren't as well BP.

Ah, apparently you've never heard of the term "first step" before. Getting Obama out of office is the first step to achieving the rest, so clearly it needs top priority right now.

How d'ya figure Jimmy? Who are you relying on to tell you "What Americans want..."? FOX News? I mean really...an intransigent, unprincipled minority has led to a legislative logjam in the Senate, effectively bottling up ANY meaningful legislation. It has consistently been the GOP acting on behalf of, not Main Street, but Wall Street. It has consistently been the GOP voting against middle-class America in favor of their corporate johns. Just how d'ya figure, Jimmy?
Wake up and smell the coffee Jimmy...The Teapublicans are fascists in populist clothing. That's how right wing movements get started, with populist, everyman rhetoric. And history has shown us that once fascists seize power, the populist rhetoric vanishes to be replaced by "US" vs. "THEM". In the case of the Teapublicans, "US" is white, heterosexual, god-fearing Christians. "THEM" is anyone who doesn't fit exactly within that box. Come to think of it, that's probably why Teapublicans consider themselves to be a "Big Tent" ideology...Not because they're inclusive, but because they've got everyone else shoved into a rotting, mildewed tent on the other side of the tracks.

Name me one piece of major legislation, that the majority of the country was in favor of, that the GOP blocked, that wasn't a pork filled Demfest...
And no, I don't watch any news on TV... I got my information from tens of polls nationwide. Americans think Obama went back on his word when he promised transparency. Americans think Obama went back on his word when he vowed to place bills online for all to read before voting. Americans want reform of healthcare, but not in the manner that Obama drew it up, but they voted for it anyway. Americans did not want major bailouts of companies that fucked up and they voted for it anyway.
Everyone wants to claim that the GOP is blocking things. What happened before Brown was elected in Mass? What was obstructing the Dems before that? Hell, even they couldn't agree enough to get their crap passed - and now tons of them will be paying the price this upcoming week for not listening to what their constituents wanted.

So BP what the hell has Obama, Reid, and Pelosi done to acccomplish your list? They shut done of shore drilling and put most of the US's oil reserves off limis (But other nations continue to drill in the Gulf and some with US taxpayer dollars to pay for the cost) An we see the reslt, GAs prices over $3/gal one again. Only this time I do not hear the left saying aythiong about how this is hurting the middle class like they did under Pres Bush
Obama is not sending jobs out of the country - he is only killing them here in the US and sending "Stimulus" money to other coutries to "stimulate" their economy. We can see how well Obamanomics has done for the US economy Bully. Record foreclosures, record number going bankrupt, businesses closing up, and over 40 milion people on food stamps.
As far as "unifying Americans of every race and creed" you want that as long as all of them agree with YOU. Look at how your beloved Dems are behaving in the FL Senate race. They are trying to pressure the BLACK GUY to drop out so the WHITE guy can win and defeat the LATINO!!
And so much for Dems wanting to help the minorities. Well they will as long as those minority people agree with them and speak only when spoken to
Speaking of scorched earth politics BP Dems call Meg Whitman a whore and the NOW gang does nothing. The savage personal attacks on Sarah Palin and her FAMILY draw no comments from liberals like you BP who CLAIM to support the rights of women. Ms O'Donnel in DE has been attacked and insulted in the most vile ways yet you say nothing condem those attacks. Why is that BP? Perhaps because those being attacked are conservatives?
So I gather from your rant you are admitting your side is in for a royal ass kicking on Tuesday. And as usual, the ass kicking is NOT due to the voters disagreeing with the policies of Obama.
BP, Obama nd the Dems are going to get all the credit for their accomplishments of the last years, and I am goig to be one of those voters sending them a big Thank You card in the form of votes against every Dem on the ballot here in PA
You on the other hand, continue to ooze with smugness and anger over the failures of you party, their lack of leadership, and your distain for those who oppose the higher taxes, bigger goverment, and continued excessive spending polices of your party. Like Virgil, you really do give a damn about the liitle guy and the middle class BP. Only the Dem party, and how much more power they can attain
When you can't debate the merits of Obama's polices BP you fall back on the disgusting sexual term to describe those speaking out agains those policies. It is all you can do Bully. Like your Dems on the campaign trail, they can't explain how massive deficits, higher taxes, and bigger government is a good thing. You can't defend th stimulus plan and the government takoeover over private companies. You can't defend the government ordering private citizens under the threat of fines and jail to buy health insurance.
BP, please continue to stand tall, and stand tall on the beach as the voter driven tidal wave cmoes ashore on Tuesday. Do not move on inch and I hope you brought your surf board

Does this help BP? Or will you dismiss these as biased and slanted polls even after the results of the voting are offical and confirm what I just posted?
and as you attack Wall Street and the other foundations of our economy please consider this BP. If you get your wish and put those enities out of business where wll the jobs to fuel the economy (and pay for your very expensive liberal agenda) come from? Hey now lets be fair here
If Obama himself cannot defend his own polices how the hell can you expect BP to?
All BP does is run with the daily talking points put out by Media Matters, NY Times, and what the likes of Chris Matthews screams on MSNBC

BERLIN | Tue Oct 26, 2010 11:53am EDT
BERLIN (Reuters) - The United States has dropped out of the "top 20" in a global league table of least corrupt nations, tarnished by financial scandals and the influence of money in politics, Transparency International said on Tuesday.
Somalia was judged the most corrupt country, followed by Myanmar and Afghanistan at joint second-worst and then by Iraq, in the Berlin-based watchdog TI's annual corruption perceptions index (CPI).
The United States fell to 22nd from 19th last year, with its CPI score dropping to 7.1 from 7.5 in the 178-nation index, which is based on independent surveys on corruption.
This was the lowest score awarded to the United States in the index's 15-year history and also the first time it had fallen out of the top 20...

The racist bullcrap is real tiresome.
Can't you comprehend that we don't give a damn about his race or anyone elses? It's the policies that are garbage.
Spending money we don't have is a bad plan.
Destroying our health care system is a bad plan.
Government take over of business is a bad plan.
Causing energy prices to necessarily skyrocket is a bad plan
Passing 2000+ page bills that no one has read is a bad plan
Borrowing money to "stimulate" the economy by giving the money to campaign donors and special interests who got you elected is a bad plan.
Taxing people more in a bad economy is a bad plan.
But no, Apparently, no one really cares about any of those things. It's all race.
Is it really too much for people to be intellectually honest and discuss the policies that are totally screwing up people's lives?
