Legitimate, and unfair, are in the eyes of the beholder. I think all criticism is legitimate as it is rooted in opinion.
Actions, on the other hand, may or may not be.

Wrong is wrong, no matter who does it.
Seems to me it's fair to criticizes crime a country has committed. Doesn't mean a countries all bad. But , you know, it's just too hard sometimes to get the real story out of what's going on there. Both the Israelis and the Arabs-Palestinians lie. And neither admit any wrong.
