and to think Pelosi, Reid, Obama, and the liberal media lied about the Tea party being funded by insurance companies and Fox News

In response to the success of the Tea Party rallies in April 2009, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) accused the nascent movement of being “astroturf”–a political term of art for a faux movement funded by traditional powers to give a cause the appearance of independent grassroots support.

Pelosi repeated the “astroturf” slur in August 2009 as Tea Party activists showed up in large numbers at healthcare townhall meetings.

Five national tea party-related rallies have been held in our nation’s capital in the past year and half. If there was evidence that thousands of tea party activists were getting free bus rides to these rallies, surely the media would have made certain the whole world knew about it.

On October 2nd, the NAACP and national labor unions will give tens of thousands of people free bus rides, free lunches, free T-shirts and free Metro farecards as inducements to attend the One Nation Working Together rally being organized by a coalition of radical leftist organizations at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C.

The Service Employees International Union (SEIU) has promised to give free bus rides from major metropolitan areas within twelve hours of D.C. The United Steelworkers are also busing in demonstrators from across the Northeast. Even the Screen Actors Guild is ‘getting on the bus.’

Local NAACP chapters on the East coast are also offering free buses, as are the Communication Workers of America.

Rally co-sponsor the AFL-CIO states, “Unions are sponsoring some 1,400 buses from around the country to come to the march.”

At an average of an estimated 50 passengers per bus, that comes to about 70,000 attendees getting free rides to the rally.

To be sure, not everyone is getting a free ride, as other groups are charging for bus transportations. But the vast number of free rides being offered bespeaks a financial giveway by the unions and the NAACP in the millions of dollars.

Kike they have done with the Tea Party rallies, and Beck's rally - the liberal media have already written their "news story" about this rally

They will give glowing coverage, will inflate the number in attendence, and gush at their bipartisanship, will fawn over the different races there, and "report" how Dems and Obama are still loved by the voters

Then on Election night they will shit in their pants and ask what the hell happened

Looks like the crfowd will not be what the union thugs were shooting for, and those turing out are not very happy with Obama

Damn, these libs are derading November 2!!!

Seeking to rewrite the political narrative that they’re suffering from apathy before the midterm elections, thousands of liberal activists began gathering on the National Mall Saturday to rally under the banner of “jobs, justice and education.”

But several attending the “One Nation Coming Together” rally in Washington expressed frustration with the disjointed message coming from Democrats, who are poised for big losses in November.

Participants said they hoped Saturday’s event would unify a broad array of progressives — union leaders, environmentalists, antiwar protesters, and civil-rights and gay-rights activists — behind a common cause exactly one month before the Nov. 2 election.

“It seems that the Democrats need to get their message out. It seems they don’t do that effectively and you have chaos over here with tea bag people getting all the press,” said Kristen Childress of Charleston, W.Va., who was attending with her partner. “What is the Democratic message? What is it?

“This rally is bringing all the progressives together in one place whereas the Democrats don’t seem to get all the allies together,” she added.“They play it safe. That has always been their problem. They play it safe.”

Cindy Garcia, 38, made the journey with a nine-bus caravan sponsored by her labor union, UAW Local 600, in Dearborn, Mich.

She was there to support unions, which she said were the backbone of the middle class. But she also wanted to urge Democrats to take a tougher stand on issues.

“They are not blunt about it. They are still hiding behind curtains and walls,” Garcia said. “They are not telling the truth about a lot of things like immigration reform.”

Organizers said they were expecting more than 100,000 to attend the rally. But just an hour before the noon kickoff, the area surrounding the Reflecting Pool was not nearly as packed as when Fox News’ Glenn Beck hosted the conservative “Restoring Honor” rally there Aug. 28.

MSNBC has be the #1 basher of the Tea Party - yet they gleefully report how many liberal groups bussed their rent a mob people to the MAll to make it look like a majority stil support Obama and the Dems

WASHINGTON — Thousands of people flocked to the Lincoln Memorial for a rally Saturday organized by labor and civil rights groups, hoping to show support for the Democratic agenda in the face of expected Republican election gains next month.

More than 400 organizations, including faith, environmental and gay rights groups, sponsored the "One Nation Working Together" demonstration on the same end of the National Mall where a month ago conservative activists met to hear commentator Glenn Beck and former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin.

"We're here to show the rest of the country that there are people who support the progressive agenda," said Ken Bork, who came from Camas, Washington state. But he acknowledged that Republicans are enjoying an advantage heading toward the Nov. 2 election that will determine whether Democrats retain control of Congress.

"There may be an enthusiasm gap, but we're not going to know until we have an election," Bork said. "A lot of the noise from the extreme right-wing stuff, it's been well orchestrated by big money. But it's not as bad as they're making it out."

There were people with union T-shirts and other participants who carried banners advocating expanding Medicare for all Americans. While the Beck rally stretched well down the National Mall, Saturday's event was shaping up to be far smaller, with sparse groups lingering around the reflecting pool and other monuments.

Some people described the event as a counter-protest to the Beck rally. Many mentioned the perceived racism they see among the tea party-style activists, even though no one who spoke at the Beck rally neared anything approaching criticism of President Barack Obama or his race.

"He can't get anything done. It's just wrong," said Shelley Casala, who came from Fort Wayne, Indiana.

She said Democrats need to look at the rally, take heart and govern from a liberal platform. "Democrats are too afraid of losing their job," she said. "We will have their back if they have ours."
