John Kerry: Democrats’ woes stem from uninformed voters
It’s the electorate, stupid!

A testy U.S. Sen. John F. Kerry yesterday blamed clueless voters with short attention spans for the uphill battle beleaguered Democrats are facing against Republicans across the nation.
“We have an electorate that doesn’t always pay that much attention to what’s going on so people are influenced by a simple slogan rather than the facts or the truth or what’s happening,” Kerry told reporters after touring the Boston Medical Center yesterday...
“I think a lot of the anger today - while it’s appropriate because Washington is broken - is not directed at the right people,” said Kerry. “Barney is prepared, as others are, to explain what we’re doing. I think when people hear the facts and they see what we’re doing, it frankly makes sense.”
In the interview, Kerry added that voters should be mad at stonewalling Republicans and “big money” in politics instead, referring to a bill blocked by Republicans Thursday that would reveal corporate and union leaders who fund big-bucks political ads.
He went on to blame the legislative logjam in Washington, D.C., for fewer federal dollars sent to the state...

Kerry is not a stupid as I thought he was. He sees the massive wave coming toward his party and he is reacting like most liberals react when they lose an election
They attack the voters.
I have never seen/heard any liberal admit the voters rejected thier agenda and perhaps they have to rethink what they support.
Instead we hear how stupid the voters are, how talk radio and Fox News drowned out their message, how the election was stolen, how the voters were unable to understand the complex issues, or how the intellectually superior liberals were unable to talk down low enough for the voters to grasp how their postions were the correct position
After the 2008 elections libs gloated how conservatism was dead, and how the right needs to walk away from Reagan conservatism. Do not wait for liberals to say how they need to get away from tax and spend policies, and walk away fro FDR liberalism
The excuses will be many, and they sore loser rage will be huge

typical elitist BS......"if only the little people would listen they'd agree with us".
Well guess what, we're listening and we still don't like what they're shoveling.
Same BS with Obama when he talks about health care. He keeps blathering on about not explaining it well, if only he explained it better the people would be in favor of the health care changes.

Many people probably aren't as informed as they should be, but that's never going to change, and the uninformed vote for all types of parties, so it's pointless attacking them (and, even worse than just being pointless it casts an air of elitism)

Yeah, like I said, they're on both sides, so it's pointless bringing it up.

Ohh its more than an "air" it is blatant... they actually do believe that they are better and better informed. Most are so out of touch with everyday duties. Ask any of them how much a loaf of bread cost or how much for a gallon of milk... I am sure you will not get a correct answer if you get one at all.....

The first round will be on November 2. I will sit back with some pizza and Pepsi and enjoy the watching whining linerals cry, piss, moan, and groan as the night goes on
Then the real work begins. Conservatives must be relentless and put Obama on the spot every chance they get so 2010 will be just as bad (if not worse) then 2010 was

Both sides? These Obama voters did not even know which party was running Congress!
I have always said, to liberals facts are a menace and truth is an enemy

Rest assured there will of been people who voted for McCain who wouldn't of known either. There are idiots on all sides of the political spectrum, don't pretend otherwise.

Is that your opinion or do have something to offer that would prove your statement?
It is amazing how the #1 excuse offered by liberals is that everyone else does it so that makes it OK

You made a statement and all I am doing is asking you to back it up. We saw the knowledge of those Obama voters, and all the defenders of the liberals can say is well both sides are equal
I hear the Obama supporters everyday say things are getting better, but they can't point to anything that is getting better
However, some people are waking up. Some are getting it they were sucked in with bumber sticker slogans, and the very things they were pissed off at Bush over (like spending and deficits) they are seeing how Obama is worse then Bush ever was
Some bot all - like Sweets for example

No problem Noir. You made a statement and can't back it up. That happens alot on your side
Bottom line is, people were sucked in by the bumper sticker sloagans and biased press coverage - now many are seeing the mistake they made
No matter how hard the liberal media continues to defend Obama and the Dems, the people will thank Obama for everything he has done to them on Nov 2

Ofcourse *everyone* who votes republican is well educated and politically informed. Without exception! Just how prejudice do you have to be =/

Idiots are everywhere and unfortunately they vote.....for both parties.
The dems are however, doing a wonderful job lately of telling the public just how stupid they are. Not a way to win votes.

It is a habit with liberals to attack anyone who disagrees with them and dares to question their policies
What I found so telling about the Obama voters was how many did NOT know the Dems were the majority party in Congress
Like my liberal coworker, they knew all the negatives things about Palin and McCain and never heard any of the negatives about Oabma and Biden
And they probably do not know unemployment is near 10% and Obama has added more to the national debt in 2 years, then all the Presidents thru Pres Reagan COMBINED
