Even a stopped clock can be right twice a day, and Ron Paul's time is now. The mosque is a non-issue ginned up by the right wing-nut punditocracy intent on playing the fear card, yet again, in pursuit of political power. Power aimed, not to "establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare", but to promote the welfare of a few powerful, monied interests at the expense of the shrinking middle class and the swelling numbers of poor in America. Scaring whiter people for fun and profit...It's the only card the GOP has to play.

hahaha I think the GOP has plenty of other cards to play. Maybe the gigantic unemployment rate,or how about the justice department that says black on white crime won't be prosecuted. Oh and what about the failed stimulus packages that cost the taxpayers millions,or maybe the HUGE problem on the borders? Please,the GOP doesn't need the mosque issue to get back in power.

there's no good reason to stop the building of the Mosque.
we may not like it but, a few of us don't like Klan rallies either but they still happen. And They're a group that's Known to have killed people and destroyed property in the not to recent past as well.
It's the price of freedom. If there's really something to find at the mosque, then let the FBI do their job and find it. if not then let the Muslims do whatever they do there in peace. All the outrage and dark speculations as to what they MIGHT do and WAHT it REALLY means is over the top, i understand the emotion but it makes no sense.

Why do you direct the opposition to the mosque squarely at the GOP? There are many democrats speaking out against building it, including your "leader" Harry Reid, and a bunch of other prominent Dems. The only one playing cards here is you.

You can thank the GOP leadership and its blatant, spiteful obstructionism for the continued dismal performance of the economy, never mind that it'll take years, if not decades, to unwind the fiscal mess left behind by BushCo. Stimulus package...same thing...attempts at bipartisanship simply resulted in a "stimulus package" half as large as it should be and tilted far too heavily towards tax-cuts which do little in the way of stimulating economic activity.

Well, Obama did provide the biggest middle class tax cuts in years under the auspices of the stimulus package. And the tax-cuts which are scheduled to expire...an expiration date voted for by Republicans...only affects the top 2% of income earners, are simply a roll back to the tax rates of the Clinton years. Tax rates which were in effect during some of the most prosperous years the American economy has seen. But the facts speak for themselves.
