I think you're right, sometimes it's taken too far. However, people are also made of flesh and blood, they can take so much.

To paraphrase Ann Coulter, it's difficult to have a rational discussion of the topics of the day when one side is presenting an argument and the other side is throwing eggs.

The Left seems to be very good at throwing eggs and hyperbole.
