ERLANGER - There will be no more cockle-doodle-doo'ing on the cul-de-sacs of Erlanger. Henry the rooster, once the king of Edgar Court, officially remains unwanted in the city's residential areas, along with all livestockNobody was crowing Tuesday evening after City Council decided against changing city ordinances to make allowances for Henry, a neighborhood pet also known as Gnarly and "Mr. Cocky-Doodle-Doo."
Yet after the city's decision, some council members let it be known that Henry isn't as sunny-side-up as his supporters make him out to be.
A city staff report makes Henry sound downright hard-boiled. His rap sheet dates to May 2007, when someone first complained about a rooster in the area. Residents later called police complaining about a rooster:
